Lots of White

I really liked the DT samples over at Penny Black and Simon Says Stamp challenge blogs.  They inspired me to make a card for both challenges.  Penny Black ~ Touchy Feely ~ is to use texture and Simon Says Stamp is All White with a coloured image.

Lots of White

I started by embossing a piece of card stock with a Sizzex folder.  I trimmed it to a square and added some punched edging.  This was put onto a textured card base.  I added the big Satin ribbon.  The sentiment was stamped straight onto the ribbon.  For the panel, I cut some white card with Spellbinder's Fleur de Lis die and stamped the Penny Black kitty onto it and some spare card.  I coloured the image and cut it out.  All in all, a card I am happy with and it only took about 45 mins to make.

Today New Zealand has been hit by a Polar Blast.... snow down south and even a flake or two here in Auckland.... quite unheard off.  Temperature dropped down to around 9 degrees Celsius and there was strong winds and rain and sleet here. There has been snow in places that don't normally get snow.... Just south of Auckland, there was a skiff of snow on the ground and on tonight's new, some children were playing in the falling flakes ~ kids who had never seen snow before!   Tomorrow is going to be just as cold.  Just when I thought spring was on it's way....

Thanks for visiting... enjoy your week... only a few days now till surgery...getting nervous.

I just love that Fleur de Lis dyecut Dawn, it looks stunning on this card, and your image is so cute.
Your embossing adds lovely texture and just ties it altogether.
Good luck in the Challenge, and the best of luck for the Op too.
Smiles:)

Love the stamping the sentiment on the bow itself and all that embossing and texture is great!
