Last week's Card Patterns sketch #142 was really neat... so I made a card with it... but by the time I finished and got the photo taken..... I'd missed the deadline.
I used patterned papers from My Mind's Eye and Hot of the Press packs. They actually co-ordinated well together. The oval panel is a one of a set of tags I bought. 8 for $3.99. Four of these tags and 4 other ones. I was lucky that one of the Spellbinders oval scallops was the perfect size for a matt.
Do you like my new header.... I decided I needed something Christmassy... so found this one over at The Background Fairy. And there's a great tutorial about adding your own title.
It's been a lovely weekend here in Auckland. Some of our chrysalis have hatched.
These are drying off in the warm sun.
Have a great week..

Oh I love this card! It has such a vintagey feel and homespun quality to it.....so pretty! And your header is lovely. I like that you changed things up for the season.
Love the design of your card, Dawn! Too bad about missing your deadline, but there's always next time, right??
LOVE the new blog header too btw :)
Dawn love your new header. Caught my eye right away. Beautiful card. Love the touch of gold.
Beautiful! Really love that gold foil edge around the oval paper! The pop of red is wonderful looking! I love your new banner, Dawn! I'm constantly changing mine up but I think I have one now that I like until next time. :)
How elegant! Love the gold edging and the soft image.
