Vintage Christmas.

Saturday's Stamp Group saw me buying a new stamp ~ a Christmas one... despite me telling myself I didn't need any more!  This one is by Rubadubadoo - a New Zealand company - and is a vintage image....

Vintage Christmas

I stamped the lovely candle stick onto card stock and coloured with watercolour pencils - keeping with the vintage look. Background stamped with HA Flourish in Scattered Straw distress ink. After taking the photo I've added some Stickles Star Dust on the yellow halo round the candle.  The sentiment is from Stamp-it.   I used my finger nail to distress round the edge.

I also made another vintage style card as well.... borrowing stamps from Sue and Linda....

Vintage Music Christmas

This one started with a music sheet from My Minds Eye "lost and found Christmas" pack.  I overstamped with a Holly stamp (borrowed from Sue)  I then cut a cream panel and distressed with Tea Dye and Vintage Photo inks.  I then stamped (2nd generation to get the right shade) an Inkadinkado swirl in Forest Moss ink.  The Stamp-it sentiment was stamped on white card and distressed with vintage photo.  Added a fussy cut Holly ( borrowed from Linda) Finished with some gems.  Thanks ladies for sharing....

and here is a photo of Sue working away on Saturday... very industriously.

My Friend Sue

Thanks for stopping by today...

Vintage (but not too distressed dark) is my favorite style, Dawn, and you have mastered it! Love these two cards and the glimpse into your fun get-together!

Both cards are wonderful. The one with the music background is my favourite due to my interest in music(not that I get time to play anymore these days) The red border around the music paper really adds to it, along with the 3 red gems. I like your use of swirls and the holly. A gorgeous card.
