Christmas Cards

I enjoyed getting my Christmas stuff out this weekend.  I got a nice little Stampendous sentiment just after Christmas last year and I made a few cards with it.

Here's the first one.

Christmas Peace #3

I started with a lovely piece of PP from My Minds Eye.  I trimmed it and layered onto my card base.  I stamped the sentiment with Hero Arts Cup'o'Joe brown ink and then used a Spellbinders die to cut it out.  I distressed it slightly to tie in the colours.  I edged it with brown ink.  The red flourish on the top corner is part of a Cherry Lynn die.  I finished with a poinsettia flower.

I used the same sentiment for my next card

Poinsettia Christmas.

This time I used a different die and PP.  I made the poinsettias for this one with a Spellbinders die and a punch and added a green flourish.

I've been working on some cards for my DT work this week... and looking forward to playing with some goodies from Simon Says that arrived today.  I'm meeting with some of my stamping friends around at Sandie's this weekend so will be having a great weekend.

Take care and have a great week.

This sentiment is wonderful! But, Christmas in August?! You are really ahead of the game, Dawn. Love how you used the paper for a vintage feel in the first card and the brilliance of the white against the deep colors in the second to result in two beauties. Now I will be humming Christmas music all day....thanks (not!) - ha!
