Today I was catching up on some challenges and DT work in anticipation of my two week holiday coming up in March. We are away from 1st March till the 14th and there's a lot going on.... One challenge I am participating in is with a group of NZ crafters and it's to make a quilt card. And Curtain Call is a cozy quilt
The inspiration pic is for a soft looking quilt, but I went for a more masculine quilt
I used three sheet of two sided paper from "Loyal" pad by Authentique to die cut the MFT hexagons. I then pieced them all onto my card and embossed with a folder. I trimmed and matted onto some dark kraft card and then onto a white base. I white embossed the Simon Says Stamp sentiment onto the kraft card and added some gems coloured with a green Copic.
Its been another fabulously summer weekend here in Auckland... one hectic weekend in the city with a huge number of events on. Hubby went to the Rugby League Nines today so I stayed home and read, sunbathed and did some crafting when it got too hot outside!
Two more weeks of work before the holiday so counting down the days. More on the trip away in the coming weeks.
