Our latest challenge at Sweet Stampin' Challenge is Father's Day/Special Man.
Here in NZ Father's Day is not until September, so I went with a card for a special guy...
I did a bit of mixed media for my card. The background was one of my makes last weekend. It was made with orange Oxide inks on my gel plate. I pressed some nasturtium leaves onto the plate. With all my layers, you can't really see the texture it made. I took the panel and trimmed it to 4"x 5.25" and then using stamps from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Observations stamp set, add stamping around the edge with Vintage Photo Distress ink and the focal image in black ink. I stamped it directly onto orange panel and onto some creamy Fabrico Artistico 160gm paper. I fussy cut it, leaving off all the tiny bits and laid it over the stamping on the panel... you wouldn't know if I hadn't told you! I added darker Distress inks around the corners and edges. The sentiment is from another Tim Holtz set - a Simon Says Stamp Stamptember 2015 - I masked off the main image and just used the sentiment. This card is for a good friend
