Craft Roulette #264

I've been having fun playing all the long weekend here in NZ.  We had Friday off for ANZAC Day.

Sunday, I decided to play along with Craft Roulette #264

This card is for a crafty friend who inspires me, and is in dreamy purples (my favourite colour).  My card base is "kraft" and is for my crafter friend.  My flowers are and butterfly are off centre - one to the left and one to the right.    The panel and the butterfly are from a digital paper set I got as a freebie from Papercraftsecrets.com.au as part of one of the Card Summits I attended.  I pulled out my Scan'n'Cut (now more accessible in my re-organised craft room) and cut all the butterflies.  The panel was trimmed with my mini guillotine to a square.   This is a salute to the CR Guest Ardyth Percy-Robb, who loves making square cards. The sentiment is from Altenew's Sincere Sentiments.   This was my 28th submission... it's been a few months since I've had time to play.

Jingle Bells

A quick Christmas card I made for using some pre-stamped images I had sitting on my desk.

I made a similar card a couple of years ago and at the time stamped the bells a few extra times and had the vintage music printed out.  So it was an easy colouring using Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.  I added the music print onto some dark blue card, and added the bells in the corner.  I had the hotfoil sentiment in my baggie of pre foiled and die cuts.  They are a Spellbinders sentiment.  To make it stand out a bit more, I layered it onto some blue card.

I took my Christmas cards up north with me and my friend chose a number so she could send to her family and in-laws who live overseas, so I need to stock up again.    Postage being as it is, I will need to get my own ones posted off by the end of this week.

Halloween at Sweet Stampin' Challenge.

Hi peeps.  Time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' Challenge and our theme is Halloween or Halloween Colours.

I don't normally do Halloween cards but I remembered having a The Greeting Farm stamp set called Sweet & Toxic -and a Clearly Besotted set that had a Halloween sentiment.

I stamped the girl and then used some very old H2O paints.  I found then at the back of one of my drawers and after having to get Hubby to open one of the little pottles (involved a pair of pliers and a vice-grip) I found they were still good to go!  In real life she is really shimmery.  I printed off the paper - a Shery K digi image I purchased such a long time ago.  The sentiment was stamped and trimmed out and layered onto some purple card.

Do come and join us at Sweet Stampin' Challenge.
