StampNation WCMD Challenge - Take Flight

World Card Making Day is well underway over at StampNation... All 48hrs of it! 
The next challenge I'm taking part in is called Take Flight

I was inspired by the butterflies and the rainbow colours on the photos...

ACCESSORIES: Liquid drops 3D Pearls

I did lots of masking to stamp my flying butterflies.

StampNation WCMD - Challenge Globe Inspiration

StampNation World Card Making Day challenges are underway.  And I'm here to share my Guest Designer sample for the Globe Inspiration.

 I took some inspiration from the globe with flowers on it... I don't have a globe stamp but found a Papermania Chronology stamp that will fill the bill

CARD :    Roses Studio Textured card bases, white, green

ACCESSORIES:  Spectrum Noir sparkle clear pen, white pearls, blue gems ($2 shop)

Happy Birthday to my Dad

Today is my Dad's birthday.  I made him a card using some of the Lovely Notes Collection from StampNation.  As he lives in Australia I made this a while ago to send over to him. 

My background is clear embossed on Grey card using the Lovely Lattice.  The bottom half of the grey was stamped with the polka dots stamp.  I used a Chalkboard technique to make the tag - stamped with the Fill in the blanks birthday stamps.  I used a white Prisma pencil to doodle around the edge.   Entering this into the challenge at Seize The Birthday.

I spoke with my Dad today.  I miss not being able to see him as often as I would like.

And my little man has headed off with his parents to LA for the rest of their holiday.  Weather much warmer for them as Thursday was the coldest day we've had all year.  It was only 6degrees C at midday!   I'll leave you with a photo of my two children with baby Archer and my son's dog Butch.

Inspired by Lisa Harrolle

I was lucky enough to win the Lovely Notes collection from Stamp Nation.  It comes with a great PDF of ideas from Catherine Pooler and the Design Team.  Lisa Harrolle did an awesome card

 

I CASE'd her card.... 

I liked her design - went for a softer version of the colours on the flowers and changed up the chevron die to red.  I used a different sentiment from the Collection.  I felt it was a bit unfinished, so added some soft grey dots along the top and bottom.  A few silver and yellow gems finished it off.    Thanks  Lisa for such a great inspirational card. 

Thanks for visiting today.  The weekend is coming, so hoping for some crafting time.   I've got some DT cards to do for the beginning of the month and don't want to pressure myself as the next couple of weeks are very busy with visitors.
