Faux leather wallet... and Kathy's blog giveaway....

Splitcoaststampers tutorial this week was to make a faux leather wallet.  My Mum was intrigued by it so I thought I'd make her one - I didn't have the same CB folder used in the tutorial but thought the Distress lines would work well...and it did.  I used a brown base, did the CB'ing and then rubbed Walnut Stain Distress ink over it before clear embossing the whole thing... I made the buckles with a CB tag and silver card.  Mum is thrilled to bits with it.  Not sure what she'll put in it.... but this is definitely something I'll be doing again.

And today when I was surfing the blogs and reading my favourites...( seems to take me half a day as I have so many)  I came across a great give away on Kathy's site.  Kathy has wonderful cards and I love visiting her blog. You should see her butterflies...just awesome.  She also kindly visits with me as well.  Anyway pop over and see what she is offering..... see that wonderful butterfly card!!!

Thanks for being so generous Kathy.

Tomorrow my parents head back to Australia - on the 7.15am flight so it will be an early start as they have to be at the airport by 5.00am and we live about 45 mintues away.... I am going to miss having them around after 2 1/2 weeks  :-(  and I have to go back to work on Monday  :-(
so will be feeling Sad Sad Sad!!!!

Thanks for stopping by...

Hoping your good times with your parents will tide you over till their next visit.
