ATCs for Hero Arts Challenge.

Over at Hero Arts this month, one of the themes for their challenge is to make an ATC.  ATC stands for Artists Trading Card.  It is a 2.5 x 3.5 inch little piece of artwork.  Some are whimsical, some are CAS, whatever you want.  They are a great way to try out new techniques.  I enjoy making ATCs and trading them with others.   Over the weekend I had some ideas for making some.... the first set of 2 were inspired by an article I saw in Craftstamper magazine.  It was a mini book, but I used the idea to create the ATCs

Sunset ATC's

I started by masking a sun, then using some pink Memento ink and orange Distress ink, made the streaks and colours across the card. Removed the mask and added a bit more colour. Used green distress and a bit of black ink on the bottom. Stamped Hero Arts Silhouette Grass onto the background, trimmed and added to the black card.

My next ATC is a fairly simple one, using a Hero Arts Collage stamp.
Create ATC

I started by distressing a white card with distress inks... Spun Sugar, Broken China and Faded Jeans and spritzing with gold perfect pearls in water.  I then used the Spun Sugar to stamp the collage stamp.  I then used the Faded jeans on the corners of the stamp and stamped onto the card.  I punched out a couple of butterflies and stamped the script part of the stamp over them.  Mounted it onto a pink backing.

These three ATC's are available for trade....just leave me a comment.

My final ATC used a new stamp I got recently.  It's a silicone stamp by La Blanche.  (available here)  These stamps have the most amazing detail.

Live Simple ATC  (now traded)

I stamped onto white ATC sized card and used some Cut-n-Dry pen nibs and distress inks to colour.  Add some tea dye ink round the edges.  The little sentiment is from Hero Arts.... which is why I'll enter into this months challenge..  I offered this one for trade and Nancy took up the exchange....

I had so much fun making these.  I think I'll try some more.

Have a good week all.... lots of challenges out there to have a go at...

Just to let these wonderful ladies know that have commentated on the COLOUR of the sky on your two cards. It is easy because we just have to look out of our window here in Auckland and we have the colours right in front of us. Well done Dawn great ATC'S.
