I got to decide on the challenge and I went with "buttons and/or bows" Our sponsor this month is The Cutting Cafe.
A digital stamping site where you can get digital stamps and cutting files very reasonably.
As designers we got to use some stamps and I chose to use " Lets go for a ride" set. Here's what I did...
This little scene was so much fun to make... I ended up using the first week's challenge technique (masking) as well. Started by masking off the bottom of the card with some torn paper and stamped the Clouds background. Then masked that and sponged the Shabby Shutters Distress ink and stamped the Envelope pattern. Then put it through the printer and printed the bike and the sentiment. I then printed the bike onto red card and cut out the frame. Stamped the flowers ( Fiskars) and coloured with Copics. Added the blue buttons and gems to the bike wheels and the yellow buttons to the flowers. Mounted onto black deckle edged card. This little bike reminds me of the one my great-nephew Nathan has. He scoots around on it very quickly.
You should see the wonderful cards that the rest of the design team came up with. Quite stunning. So come and join us over at SSC and let me see you " buttons/bows"
Take care
Dawn
