Anyway, tonight I am sharing a couple of cards I made on Saturday at Stamp Group. I did two butterfly cards.
This first one started with some white card stock onto which I added a small circle as a mask for the sun...I then sponged some Broken China and Scattered Straw distress ink onto the card. I then stamped the butterfly stamp (from Stamp-It) once on the background and once on a scrap piece of card. I sponged some distress ink over the scrap piece and cut it out to layer onto the main piece. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft.
Card number two also used a Stamp-It butterfly stamp
Our tutorial at group was Faux Tiling. I used this technique to make my centre panel. I distressed with some Antique Linen distress and used a white gel pen to "grout" my tile. The gold embossed background is a Hero Arts stamp. The base card was white till I sponged on some Antique Linen distress. The chocolate and aqua card is Bazzill.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to visit some more blogs.
Cheers
Dawn

Lovely cards. I always like using butterfly stamps.
The background sponging looks great with your masked sun. Love the extra layer you have added to the main butterfly.
The colours you have used in the second card work really well together. I like the faux tiling. Very clever. Did you use a scor-pal for that?
Those are beautiful! I especially like the faux tiling on the second card - stunning!
