3 Flower, 2 Butterflies and a Bird.

Over at CREATE blog last weeks challenge was a "recipe" ~ 3 flowers, 2 butterflies and a bird...and my entry made the grade.  You can see it on the post...here together with some amazing cards.

I have some Kaisercraft stamps with the matching Paper pack and I really wanted to try them out.

I Love You.

I started with a page from pack.  It had butterflies on it already and a space on the label.  I stamped the bird from the stamp set onto the paper and coloured with distress inks.  I stamped the butterfly from the set onto a piece of the paper I had trimmed off and used distress inks and Copics to colour.  I added some Stickles round the edge and on some of the little flowers.  My three flowers were made hand made by me.   I finished with a sentiment from a Penny Black set.  My wedding anniversary is coming up so this will be for hubby.   I was pleased it made it onto the CREATE blog.

I've decided to partake in Carly's Photo challenge... our first challenge was a self portrait.   Now I'm usually behind the camera so to get a self photo.... well... that was a challenge.  Firstly I couldn't find my tripod.... so thought I'd try photographing myself in the mirror.  After a HUGE number of takes.... I got one that was semi acceptable... it was slightly unfocussed so I went with that look and edited it a bit.... changed to black and white and adjusted the exposure, contrast etc to get a bit of a artsy look

Is this me?

What do you think?  I've entitled it "Is this Me?"  Part of the challenge is to also print and journal the photo.  Still to do that.

Well, that's me for now... work is off tomorrow so I can help our son move into his new flat.   The new system fell over yesterday so my office won't be switching over this weekend... so a normal day on Monday.  A bit annoying but better to have everything okay and no problems on the change over day.

Hoping to have some play time over the weekend and catch up on my CAS classes.  One card made.   Have a great weekend

Dawn
