Flowers for a Friend.

Over the first long weekend I spend some time reading a number of card magazines and got lots of fun ideas.  One of the magazine gave instructions for making a flower with Tim Holtz Tattered Floral dies.  It used cream card with pink chalks.  I decided to give it a go.

Here's the card I made.

For a Friend

I used some pink chalks and set them with hairspray.  Then I made up the flower and added the large brad in the centre and scrunched the petals.  I printed off some pink gingham paper and trimmed it to fit the card.  I had a scrap of the pearlescent card on my desk and matted it to some pink, added some lovely pink seam binding.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I added the doily and then some green ribbon for the leaves under the flower.  It was hard to stick the flower on..... used glossy accents, dimensionals, glue dots before I got it down.

In the end I was quite pleased with this card.  I have entered it into Hero Arts challenge (die cuts/friendship) and also over at the Lily Pad ( use patterned paper)

I've spend the evening making a wedding card for a friend who has a work mate getting married this Friday.  Julie came round and she help design the card.... but I didn't get a photo of it before she took it :-(  I used this The Greeting Farm digital stamp.  The card was black and white and I used some red glitter glue on the heart.

Thanks for visiting.
