More Shadow Blocking....

I had fun using my Shadow Block ( an old Hampton Art stamp) yesterday at Stamp Group.  I did a number of stampings with different colours.  I ended up messing one up with stamping that smudged, but that will make some nice butterflies or flowers~

But this one I am very happy with

Shadow block Birthday

I used two Hero Arts inks.... Soft Apricot for the main colour with some Cup o'Joe rock and rolled round the edges of the stamp.  Once it dried, I over-stamped with Penny Black's Gossamer Flowers.  I used Copics to colour the flowers and leaves.  The panel was then matted onto dark brown Bazzil and then onto Nutmeg card.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and clear embossed.

Had a nice lazy morning .... lying in bed reading the newspaper before getting up for a brunch of bacon and eggs.   Our son called round not long after we finished brunch.... looking for lunch.... so I made him a nice Fluffy Omelet.  It was great to catch up with him.   I finally got my ironing done..... about 6 weeks worth!!!!!!!!!!!!  Took me all afternoon, so no cards got made today.  I kept popping onto the internet to visit a few blogs every half and hour or so...

I'm heading off for an early night as hubby has to be up at 4.45am in the morning to head out to the airport ~ he's off to Sydney for 3 days this week, and then next week for 2 days... then it will be another 5 weeks after that till we are off to Perth to visit our daughter.

Hope you all had a great weekend, and thanks heaps for visiting.

Take care

Dawn

really pretty card - reminds me to get out my old shadow stamps and inks from hero arts and create with them.

Stunning card Dawn :-). What a way to start a day - just what the doctor ordered. I try an do my ironing once a week, and that is bad enough!
