Pink and girly

My friend asked me to make a Christening card so I decided to make two from her to choose from.

First up ~ a girly pink card more designed for the child......

Christening cutie

I really love Mo Manning images.  Always so very very cute.  For this one I used Baby Fairy Flora.  I had cut out the die cut doily from some scraps so with some ingenuity and temporary adhesive, managed to print the fairy baby onto the die cut.  Then printed it out on white card and coloured with Copics. I cut it out and stuck it over the printed one.  That way I didn't have to cut out the tuffs of hair as I had coloured them on the base image.  I used the sketch
I found at Crafting When we Can challenges blog so am entering this into the challenge this week.   They are also having a DT call... so go an visit .... I've put my name in the hat

And my second card is more suited for the parents.

Christening 2

I used an embossing folder and some pearlised silver card.  The cross and sentiment are from an Inkadinkado set.   I put a nice sentiment inside:  "As you christen your beautiful baby, may God's blessing continue to flower over you as you row together as a family"  My hubby thought it looked more like a sympathy card.... but I think it looks okay.

So now Yvonne can chose which one she wants.  She has also asked me to make a birthday card for a  60 year old male.  I needed a few more male cards so this afternoon made three... two based on previous cards I've made and one a CASE'd one from Paper Crafts magazine.

Well the weekend is over :-(  Back to work tomorrow as I did not win the Lotto this week....

Thanks for visiting
Dawn

The Baby Fairy Flora image is adorable and how clever to be able to print it directly on the die cut !!
Thanks for sharing with our Crafting When We Can Challenge :)

Both cards are lovely. I love the first one. Love the doily die cut. Very clever how you printed on the die cut and on the white card so that it was easier to cut out. I would never had known. I must remember that trick. :-)

What a gift of love - both cards are simply wonderful. Great idea for layering the girl so you didn't have to cut the hair - that would have been so difficult. You did a great job of coloring her and capturing her impishness. I love the dear cross, too. Great coloring and embossing. Thanks for sharing both!
