Mygrafico Monday Feature ~ Wild West

Our theme this week over at Mygrafico is Wild West.... and the design team got to work with this set from Mel's Brushes

I decided to use the cowboy boot for my card

I printed it out twice and cut the boots out, using some brown ink to define the edges.  I added one boot directly to the distressed oval and the second one was pop dotted up.  Added some Glossy accents on the star and spurs.  The sentiment was stamped onto a die cut banner and the card was finished with some twine and a button.   This card is going to be for my son's birthday in a month.... his girlfriend owns two horses and he's been helping her exercise one of them quite regularly.    I think he'll appreciate the symbolism of the boots on the card.

Do pop over to the blog  and see what the others have come up with...

Tomorrow is my hubby's birthday.  We are going out to dinner with our friend Michael.  Hubby found out that if he goes to the Bays Club for dinner on his birthday, his meal is free!  I'll share his birthday card tomorrow ~ if I get time!

Take care

Dawn

Enjoy dinner out tomorrow for your husband's birthday.

What a cute card, Dawn! I must admit that I have never done a card using digis. You are so good with them. Have a nice dinner with hubby - happy birthday to him!!
