Nancy over at Happy Heart Studio did a series of cards recently using a pretty little set from Lawn Fawn called "And a Partridge". I fell in love with her cards and had to order the set. It arrived Thursday so today I had some time to play. I used Nancy's cards as inspiration
First off this card
I did some embossing with Copper EP onto some PP. The card base is from a pad I picked up this week from Rosie's studio. 20 card bases with pre-printed Christmas borders for $3.59 ~ not bad value. 5 cards per design.
My next card was inspired by this one of Nancy's
I made the background by clear embossing the Hero Arts Envelope pattern and then did a resist technique using some Peeled Paint distress stain. I made my little tag the same as Nancy did for her card. I used another of the card bases in the pad and cut it to be 10.5cm x 10.5cm. I added the faux stitches.
and finally (for today) I made a little scrapling with the left over card from the card above
I used some Weathered Wood distress ink, some Copics and Glossy Accents.
So a big thanks to Nancy for making such beautiful inspiring cards. I feel like I've taken her class! Something I would love to do someday!!!!
I'm sure I'll be making some more with this set as it's so sweet.
