Birthday Roses

Friday evening my friend Lei rang to ask if I knew which ink worked best when using Spellbinders Impressibilities.  I haven't used my Impressibilities for such a long time and I couldn't remember which ink worked best so had to try it out.  I found an on-line tutorial at Stamp TV.  I used some glossy card and some yellow Versamagic pigment ink

Yellow roses

I took the panel I make and added some Hero Arts/Basic Grey roses stamped with London Fog Memento Ink and coloured with Copics.  I fussy cut the flowers and pop dotted them onto my panel.  I coloured a Peelcraft sentiment with Copics to match.  Added some gems.

This card is for my friend who is turning 65 soon.

I also did a couple of different samples with different papers and inks.  So have some backgrounds to use in the future.

3 weeks today till Christmas Day!  So much to do, so little time!  This weekend we are away for the Turley Family get together at my BIL's place at Cooks Beach.  We are heading down there Friday afternoon and will come home Sunday afternoon.  It's about 2 1/2 hr drive away.  Our son and his girlfriend are coming over later on Friday evening after work.

Hope your Christmas preparation is going well.

Dawn
