Just for Fun

Happy Birthday

After a couple of projects for Design Team work, I had a play, just for fun.  I bought a card making kit and Magazine (Cardmaking in Easy steps) and one of the designs, I really liked.  So I used it like a sketch.  I used a Kaisercraft strip stamp for my background panel.  I then matted this onto some crimson then dark brown card.  I made the same matting and stamped a Hero Arts sentiment.  All my stamping was done with Archival Coffee ink.  I cut some circles with Spellbinders Dies and used a Docrafts stamp for the fob watch.  I used Glossy Accents on the watch face.   All my card was a cream colour.  I picked up a pad of A5 craft card for $3.99. It's fine for bases etc and simple stamping, but not smooth enough for colouring and blending.

I like the circle rectangles together.  I've got some male birthday's coming up so this is great to have on hand.

Here is also a photo of an altered tin I recently did for the daughter of a lady at work.... Tracy was about to throw the tin away, and I rescued it and made a treasure tin for Angeline.

Lots of stickers, flowers and butterflies from the $2 shop and some test pot paint.  A 250ml pot for $5.   Something a little bit different.  I lined the inside with some pink felt.

Rugby season has started tonight with the Super Rugby games... Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays.... so Sky Sports gets a hammering and I have to sit through the games, or go and watch TV upstairs on my own ( which I have to say I do every now and again).  That means that Autumn and Winter are on the way.... but I hope not too soon!!!

Have a super weekend... I'm hoping to Scramble on Sunday morning with Hero Arts Flickr group.  My friend, Paula, in Australia is hosting... 8.00am here in NZ... up early for her at 5.00am.

Love that card Dawn - I may just have to CASE it, thanks for the inspiration. I know what you mean about the Super Rugby, but thankfully we don't have Sky, but we do go visiting some weeks to watch it :-(.
Blessings

Both projects are lovely Dawn. I understand completely about the rugby... I spent last night watching TV alone in my bedroom because DH had the rugby on. And he can't just watch one game, he has to watch ALL the games!
