Team Building Art

Today my job description change took effect... new JE with some new tasks and processess.. and to celebrate the new changes the two teams in our office involved in "Community Compliance" within Inland Revenue had a team building day... making a piece of art work.  We all got a square piece of wood to decorate... One side had a letter (to spell out Community Compliance), one side a NZ icon and the other two sides we could do whatever we wanted.  The end art work will be a Totem Pole, with the word spelt downwards.  I put a few bits and pieces together and took my Modge Podge which turned out a god-send.  The Stickles also got a good workout!   Our letter background colour was the same and the basic font the same, but we could do the letters in different colours and add other bits.   Here are some of the photos of the day

And here are the 4 sides of my block

I used some paint that I got in a Test Pot from Bunnings ( Hardware store) and some acrylic tubes.  I stamped sentiments from a Kaisercrafts set with Archival ink.  My butterfly is a My Favorite Things and the PP on the last side is from MME - Miss Caroline.  Added some washi tape and a die cut Holly flourish with punched flowers.   We had a fun day and the blocks were all so diverse and interesting looking.  Some very talented people in our group.    I'll take a photo once it's all finished.   But I do have to say I'm really feeling tired tonight.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoyed seeing something a little different today.
