This week the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp is White on White. The design team have made some incredible samples to inspire, and inspired I was! I actually managed two cards.
My first one was textured
I started by embossing the base card with a Sizzix woodgrain folder. I added some trellis die cuts by Memory Box. The flower is a Tim Holtz Poinsettia die cut that I embossed with a texture folder. I used a large white brad to hold it together. I cut a banner with a Die-namics die and stamped a sentiment from Hastings Rubber Stamps (a New Zealand stamp manufacturer)
My second card was a very quick CAS card.
I started by stamping the sentiment from Simon Says stamp and then drew the frame. I die cut the branches with a Memory Box Die (thanks Paula for this lovely die) and the flowers are punched with an unknown punch. I added some pearls to finish.
I was really pleased to get these two cards made quite quickly... I've been in a bit of a funk this week, not really feeling that enthused to create but seeing the Simon Says blog really got me thinking. I've even adapted my second card for CAS-ology's red challenge. Just need to take a photo in the morning.
Thanks for stopping by today.
