Hot August Night

Second post of the day.... my Creative Craft Cottage post is here

Today is the start of a new challenge at Die Cut Divas... Arlene has chosen a awesome theme... Hot August Nights.... Hop over to the blog to see what she has in mind... I did struggle a bit as August is winter time for me... but after reading Arlene's brief... she talks about nights of rock and roll in Reno... I finally came up with an idea.....

Hot August Nights

As is my way, the card is CAS... I started by masking off the centre and painting it with some Koh-i-noor water colour paints.  I stamped the rockabilly girl from The Greeting Farm onto some scrap white card and coloured her with Copics.  I fussy cut her and layered her onto a little die cut doily from a Die-namics die.  It is a super cute little size.  The You is a Simon Says Stamp die cut with a matching sentiment.  I drew around the masked area with a Copic multiliner pen.

We would love to have you join us over at Die Cut Divas with you ideas for a Hot August Night

Hello Dawn,
This is a great looking card and the girl has real sass about her.

WOW Dawn you really rocked this one - keeping CAS really added to the overall impact, which is amazing.

Oh how adorable, Dawn! Perfect card for the challenge. My hubby used to want to go to Hot August Nights since he's a car nut. However, we're not really into crowds, so probably won't ever go.
