Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Vintage/Shabby Chic/Distressed.

Second post for today.... see my CAS embossed card below.

*************************************************************************

Hi - it's time for the latest challenge at Sweet Stampin' Challenge.  Our theme this fortnight is- Vintage/Shabby Chic/Distressed.

Now I will tell you this theme is SO NOT in my comfort zone.  But I give it a bit of a go.

I had purchased this Lily of the Valley pre-printed digital image.   I thought it looked a bit vintage-y.  Once I printed it out, I enhanced the image with some Prismacolor pencils.  I die cut the image with a Gina K Master Layouts scalloped die.  While the die was still in place, I sponged a little pale blue ink inside.  Then I masked off the inside and used Old Paper distress ink to distress the edges. I found a freebie Christmas sentiment stamp and added it to the top corner.   I took some Christmas paper for the background and used some scissors to distress the edges and used some Vintage Photo distress ink to distress further.  To add the touch of shabby chic, I layered some lace down the edge.   I gave the whole panel a spritz of glimmer spray for a little sparkle.

Do come and join us for our challenge and shows us your vintage/shabby chic/distressed projects.

Such an adorable image, Dawn, and I love how you customized it! Perfect for vintage, especially with that bit of trim along the edge!!
