I've been doing lots of Christmas cards recently so thought I'd do a floral card (my favourite style) This one was done yesterday afternoon after having spent the morning looking after the granddaughters.
Altenew's October inspiration challenge had a gorgeous colour scheme
I have a LOT of Altenew florals... been collecting them since 2015 - I don't even want to count how many stamps, dies, stencils I have - LOVE THEM ALL
So had a fun time trying to choose a stamp set that I wanted to use. Finally chose Fabulous Florets.
I purchased the background embossing folder (Altenew Masonry 3D) on my trip to the FYI Craft show and this was the first time I used it. Embossed some white card and then swiped Charcoal Suit Altenew ink over it. Stamped the Fabulous Floret with some Purple ink and used a paint brush and water to move the ink a bit. Added a bit of pink ink and then stamped the third stamp layer with some orange ink. Die cut both images. Stamp and die the leaves with Parrot, Olive and Moss green inks. Added the first flower directly to the panel and then added some 3D tape to the front one. Added the leaves behind the flowers. Added some Buttercup Liquid dots to the centre of flowers. And added some Flamingo Liquid dots around the flower. The sentiment is from the same stamp set, and was white embossed on the black card. Use an Altenew die to cut it - doing double die cutting to make the sentiment a bit shorter then the actual die.
Adding the Inspiration challenge and also Darnell's NBUS challenge as the embossing folder is having it's first outing.
This morning, we did some Christmas shopping, bought a new bed (hopefully will be delivered in the next week or so) and got some plants and wood for hubby to finish off a front screen on the berry screens. Been pottering around all afternoon including doing some baking... and not sure where the rest of the day has gone!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a crafty day.
