WE WON THE WORLD CUP!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow - what an exciting night last night.......... a very stressful game.  The French took the game to the All Blacks and it was so tense.  The final score was 8 to 7 - talk about close.  I tell you our household was on tenterhooks all game.  Right up to the last moment it could have gone either way.... so it was lucky for us.

Much happiness in NZ then today over 250,000 people lined the street in Central Auckland as the team had a parade.  I watched on the TV as I'm not fussed on crowds.  I sat at the dinning table watching it and colouring in another little Mimi to make a little tag for Penny Black Blog Tag Challenge.  Here's how it finished up

Mimi Tag

I used a Spellbinders Label die for my tag and coloured Mimi in with watercolour pencils.  I cut her out and stuck her onto the tag which I'd coloured with Milled Lavender and Aged Mahogany distress inks.  The little sentiment is from a Sparkle Clear set by Hero Art.   I think I'll be making a few more of this one.  It was such fun.

Thanks for bearing with me today.... I am so HAPPY we won the Cup...

Cheers

Paperplay Challenge ~ White + One

Last weeks Paper Play challenge was to use White + one other colour.  There were some lovely examples from the DT.  I decided to go with White + Cream.  I had a new Magonlia Tilda stamp that I hadn't inked up and I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

PaperPlay challenge.

I started by stamping my Angel Tilda stamp onto white card and doing some paper piecing ( used a CB folder to give the dress some texture) and then coloured with Copics.  Her wings are covered in Kindyglitz glitter glue. The white panel is also embossed with the Swiss Dot  folder.  I added the cream ribbon, flourish, tag and flowers.  Used a Hero Arts sentiment on the tag.  I made the flowers following this tutorial.  I used the tiniest Dahlia Spellbinders die. Really tiny but they turned out lovely.  This was really hard to photograph with all the white and cream.d

Today I didn't get a single card made as I was out and about... I had my weekly blood test first thing and then went to see my friend Kathy from work for morning tea, had a half hour walk along the beach before meeting another friend for lunch.... finally got home around 2pm feeling pooped!   The All Blacks are staying at the hotel right next to my work so waiting for Liane... I saw a number of them walking the street.  My friend Kathy's daughter was having lunch with her and managed to get this photo of one of the All Blacks with Vanessa and Rio (Kathy's grand-daughter)
That's Ma'a Nonu ~ one of the All Blacks backs.   The All Blacks are in the Quarter Finals on Sunday against Argentina.   Only   2 1/2 weeks till the finals on the 23rd. Hoping that the All Blacks are there!

Cheers
