It's all about WORDS

Over at Die Cut Divas February's challenge theme is up......  It's All about Words...

Our sponsor is Quietfire Designs... and the lovely Suzanne allowed the design team to spend some money and get ourselves some stamps or cut files....  When I went to chose my samples I couldn't stick to my allowance so ended up buying some more.  I simply fall in LOVE with the beautiful sentiment stamps...

So here's my first sample

I used QuietFire The Perfect Pair of Shoes stamp together with  a Tattered Lace Shoe die and some pretty PP from Couture Creations (Vintage Rose Collection)

And for another sample that's for my Chalk'n'Stock design team...

As usual, Bugaboo are the sponsor for Chalk'n'Stock.  I coloured the Bugaboo digi stamp with Copics and then used a chalk pastel to colour the background.  The quote is "Sometimes, said Pooh" from Quietfire Designs.  The frame is a Spellbinders die.  The background of the die cut is coloured with a pastel chalk in pale blue.  I'm adding this to the challenge over at Crafting When We Can ~ Favourite Quote or Saying

I've had so much fun using the fabulous quotes from Quietfire Designs.

High Heel Glam

I had a very successful and fun day on Friday attending SENZ ~ NZ's biggest paper craft and scrapbooking expo and this year, it also had cake making and a cake decorating display and competition.  I didn't do any classes this year, but took my friend, Suna, along.  It was her first time to go to SENZ and she was stunned.  It was awesome this year, in a new venue and boy did we enjoy it.  We got there before the doors opened at 9.00am and left at 2.45pm.  I did have the joy of catching up with some FB friends - Tracey, Tash & Faith and a couple of ladies from a NZ online forum I belong to - Carol and Jude.

Amongst my purchases was this die from Tattered Lace.

And here is the card I made with it....

High Heel Glam

Totally all die cuts... the corner is a Spellbinders die and the sentiment is by Britannia Dies.  I did have trouble trying to photograph the card with all the silver mirror card and a the fact that the weather has been wet and windy for the last little while.

And finally here are some photos of some of the cakes in the competition from the weekend.
