Rainbow cards....

I've been taking part in the OCC Rainbow marker class - or at least watching the videos.  I did manage to get one card done for my homework.  As part of the Altenew sale, I purchased the Simple Flowers stamps and dies and had an idea to stamp the flowers in different rainbow colours.  I decided to use Catherine Pooler inks as they are so vibrant and will make the flowers pop.

And I was super pleased with the result.  I added lots of Spectrum Noir glitter pen on the flowers to give it a shimmery shine.

And here's a bit of a sneak peek of the latest Challenge at StampNation... it's all about using your border stamps and I did a rainbow card

Full reveal is over at StampNation.  Do come and join.  It is well worth it.

Christmas cards and a sneak peek

These are the two Christmas cards I started yesterday and finished off last night,  The Kitty and the sentiment on the card are both from Kiwistamping.
I stamped the Kitty onto white cardstock in Versafine Onxy black and clear embossed it.  I used a mixture of Copics and watercolour pencils to colour it in.  On the rim of the hat and the pompom I used some white Liquid Appliqué.  I then cut the patterned paper and the matting with the Victorian cutter on my Marvey Papertrimmer,,  I stamped the sentiment straight onto the pp.  I tied the ribbon round before mounting it onto the green card.  This card is quite shiny.

The reindeer card is based on one I made at a class last year.  My stamp is a bit bigger than the one we used, but I have basically followed the design we used.  I stamped the reindeer onto white cardstock and then used my rectangle nestie to cut it out.  On the other white piece I just stamped the trailing flowers a couple of times in each corner, added a strip of red card through the middle before layering onto the black card.  I stamped the sentiment onto a white oval that was matted onto a red oval.  I then used kindyglitz to add interest to both the sentiment and the trailing flowers, added a gem and all done.  The reindeer stamp is from a set by Inkadinkadoo and the sentiment is from Hero Arts Sparkle clear set - Holiday messages.

Finally today I made my card for Deborah Nolans card chain challenge.  My card is heading to the USA to one very talented lady.  I was a bit overwhelmed when I saw all her beautiful work, but hope she will like this.  Just a wee peek for now.
Thanks for stopping by.  I'm off to create some more.... love public holidays and long weekends....
