A couple more of the cards I made on Saturday to share with you.... Very different styles indeed.
This first one is a Hybrid card. The cute couple are from The Greeting Farm. I printed them out and then used Copics to colour. The black is a Martha Stewart punch. I found the ribbon in my stash, but not sure where it came from. It really seemed to suit the card. I printed the "Mr and Mrs" on the computer.
this next one, is mainly all about Patterned Paper.... I used the Theresa Collins free papers from Australian Simply Cards to make this card. I CASE'd a card from the Magazine. The only stamping is the Dream sentiment which I white embossed. I added some punched butterflies and gems and a bit of ribbon. Entering this into Lily Pad's Patterned Paper Challenge.
Ive just got back from attending a seminar about Self Management of Diabetes. My Blood Glucose Levels have been constantly rising over the last year and my Doctor wants me to learn more about this condition so I can better control my levels. In the last 3 weeks I've been testing my bloods 4 times a day, I have become more aware of what foods I should and shouldn't be eating. Already I've lost weight and my levels are becoming more stable. Now just to up the activity levels. The seminar is 3hrs every Thursday for 4 weeks. Next week is about being able to read the labels on foods and working out which are best for you. Should be interesting.
Well that's it for me. Just time to visit a few blogs before bed.
Take care
Dawn

Dawn your cards are beautiful as always :o). I am so glad that you are getting good results for your Diabetes. I wish my mum would be more like you (I worry about her) & try to do more to help herself. Take care my friend xoxoxo
Fabulous cards Dawn, and what a great idea to have classes about your diabetes, they should do that in the Uk. My father in law suffers and these classes would certainly help.
I'm a sucker for TGF so this card is just adorable :) I also LOVE the pink card! So beautiful with the butterflies Dawn!
My mom is struggling with the exact same issue with her mild diabetes. She could use some classes like that to help her! I hope they help you- we want you to be healthy and happy and live a loooong life my friend :) Good luck with it!
wow Dawn! you are on a roll.....both of these cards are so fabulous! That punched strip is fantastic! I never am able to get my big punches like that to work so well and so crisply...always a torn bit or two for me! Good for you on learning more about your self management. My 18 year old (I have probably told you) is a Type 1 diabetic and is trying very, very hard to manage her diabetes away at college for the first time by herself. It is not easy at all so I commend you for learning more about self care of this very very difficult disease.
Hi Dawn! These cards are wonderful! Love the first one with that adorable image! And your second card is FABULOUS! Wow - just love the tall shape and gorgeous mix of paper and stamping!
Like Sheila, I too have a child with type 1 diabetes. Although yours is probably type 2, they are similar in many ways, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to shoot me a message - I'd be glad to help. (Been dealing with this disease now for 17 years.)I'm glad to hear you are learning more about it and getting healthier! Hugs to you! :)
Beautiful cards and your coloring on the TGF image is adorable! Diabetes is such a struggle. My DH still struggles with it today. Wishing you well and hope you are able to get your sugar levels at just the right amount.
Oh Dawn - there are so many of my friends who suffer from Diabetes - what a scourge this disease is!! So glad there are classes to help you self manage.
