hi there.... I can't believe I haven't posted for almost 10 days! I have done a little crafting but mostly for swaps and design work... plus spending as much time as I could with my Dad. Ngaire was in Auckland Hospital till Thurs 10th before being flown back to the Hutt Hospital in Wellington. Dad then drove himself back - over two days. (365 kilometres/394 miles) not bad for a 85 year old. Ngaire got home late Friday night, but ended up back in hospital last evening with a blood clot.... Poor thing - still she is near her family so that is good.
So today I am sharing the card I made for our NZ swap group. Our theme was Use Washi... My good friend Suna chose the theme and I got to send her my card. I took the easy route, using some Altenew floral washi - It is so pretty and a stripe of it covered the centre of my card.
Isn't just the most beautiful washi. I used a stripe of thin gold washi down the side and then laid stripes of it across some card and die cut the sentiment out. Chose a maroon card base to match one of the flower colours. Suna let me know it had arrived and she loved it.
We've had a lovely weekend, spent with our friends in Mangawhai. We hadn't been up there for more than a month so it was lovely to chill out. And on our way home we popped into see our son - it's his 34th birthday today. I really don't know where the time has gone. Here's a photo of him and his family taken a couple of weeks ago on their holiday in Australia
thanks for visiting today. I have a few posts schedule this week - including Kieran's birthday card.

this is a dramatic card Dawn - love the Washi you have used and the gold accents are perfect with it, and even better that the gold was also washi!
Blessings
