It's Sunday so it's time for a Red Carpet Studio challenge and my first as a Design Team member. Did you manage a LO last week?
Our challenges
alternate each week between a card and layout challenge. The first and
third weeks of the month are layout challenges, and the second and
fourth weeks of the month are card challenges.
Our challenge this week is a pun card challenge - create a card using
a pun! If you don't know what a pun is, it's a play on words. Check out
the design team's creations for some inspiration.
Our fabulous sponsor this week is Designs on Cloud 9! They are giving away a $20 gift certificate to the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge.
Along with the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge, the
card design team will also be taking a look at ALL of the submissions
and voting on their top three "spotlight"submissions. The spotlight
submissions, along with the random winner, will be announced on Tuesday September 18th and will receive a special badge for their blogs. Challenges
run from Sunday - Saturday evening, and winners are always announced
the Tuesday after the challenge ends in order for the design team to
have enough time to vote.
I decided to go Stylish!
Yes my pun is a play on the word "So/Sew"
I used some free papers from Astrid ( here) to make my background. I trimmed it a bit short so added some striped paper that matched beautifully. I stamped the Kaisercraft dress pattern stamp in one corner with some Memento ink. Added some lace along the bottom and some piercing and distressing around the edge. Stamped the lady separately and layered her over the first image with some pop dots. Added some different coloured pearls and of course, my Pun Sentiment. I typed this on the computer and cut with a Die-namics label die.
