Three more Christmas cards

Hi there.   Today I have a couple of Christmas cards to share.  These were made over the time I had off.

My first one uses a little gel press focal image.

I was playing with a circle gel plate and different mediums.  I tried inks and some acyrlic paints.  This one used some Jo Sonya paints.  I brayered the paint and then used a Gina K stamp (Holiday Tapestry) to rempove some of the paint before pulling a print.  I then used a circle die to cut it out.    I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set to make a the panel.  I used an embossing folder to add some texture to the background.   There are a few other circle backgrounds... but this was my favourite.

Card Two - started with some bits on my desk.

The plaid background was made a long time ago... It's a Catherine Pooler stamp inked in some CP ink. The die cut is a Catherine Pooler one as well that I had die cut last week and never used.   I used an Altenew stamp and die set - Sophisticated Wreath.  I used a variety of Altenew inks.  I stamped the base layer straight onto the panel and then stamped the die cut the flowers and leaves.   I added a Christmas sentiment and some red gems.

And my last one I did yesterday after looking through my patterned paper packs for Christmas papers

I used Gina K Master Layouts to cut my papers and the layers.  I wanted some gold layers so added some washi tape around the edges of the layers.  The sentiment is a Lily of the Valley digital sentiment.  I printed the entire page of sentiments and trimmed them out.   I used an older wooden stamp Poinsettia.  It is from a now defunct NZ coy.  I gold embossed it on vellum and then stamped it on red card.  I fussy cut and layered together.  All in all a CAS card.

thanks for stopping by.  Take care out there.

A card with rolled paper.

Paige, over at the CREATE blog set an interesting challenge this week... to used Rolled Paper.  Now for most of the week, I thought and thought... but in the end, I simply went with Rolled Roses.  I used a small and medium Die-Namics dies.

Friends Forever

I cut some gold printed vellum to make my rolled roses.  The little one was quite tricky to roll, but got there in the end.  My image is from a booklet of Lily of the Valley images I got in a magazine.  I coloured it with watercolour pencils and a blender pen.  I added a little distress ink around the edge.  The PP's are from a freebie set from NitWits.   Just layered them and the image.  Added some Hero Arts adhesive lace... but when I took the photo I realised it was not straight on the card.  :-(   The little sentiment comes from a  Sparkle Clear set by Hero Arts.

Still way behind with my CAS online class... and believe it or not... I still am only up to day 8 of Tim's Tags..... I WILL FINISH THEM.... some time before December 2012!!!!  Today I got the next 3 months images for Mygrafico design team.... so lots of playing ahead.  I get excited and want to make lots of cards and projects at once.... I have to pace myself!

Thanks for visiting today...
