Love is in the air... at Sweet Stampin' Challenge.

I completely forgot that I was due to post my card for Sweet Stampin' Challenge.    So I had to run into the craft room about an hour or so ago.  I already had an idea in my mind, thinking it was next Saturday that I needed my card for.   I was child minding again yesterday - spending time crafting again!!  Stenciling was the order of the day.  Grace really loved doing this.  And made a beautiful card - which I forgot to take a photo of - she has a great eye for colours.

Anyhoo.... here is the card I made.

I had been to Kmart this afternoon and picked up a pack of red and pink card bases.   I trimmed the front of a red one and used a Couture Creations embossing folder - Peacock Fans,   I die cut lots of hearts from a Lawn Fawn set called Candy Hearts.  I made a little envelope using my WRMK envelope board.  I added the hearts coming out of it.  Added a die cut bow and a little sentiment from a Gina K stamp and die set - Blooming Butterfly.

Non-traditional Valentines.

Hi.  It's my day to share at Die Cut Divas.  Our sponsor this month is

And our challenge is "Non-traditional Valentines"

Hero Arts is an amazing company and when I first started stamping, was one of my go to companies.   I still have a LOT of older Hero Arts stamps so pulled out some of my older cling stamps and chose a gorgeous leafy one to make my card.

I found this piece of card which I think was made with some Nuvo powders.  It's great to use up some of those bits and pieces hanging round my desk.  I took the Hero Arts Leafy Vines Cling (circa 2012) and embossed it with Altenew Rose Gold powder.  The sentiment was stamped onto a heart die cut.  It's from Hero Arts Stamp and Cuts set - Yes.   The heart is part of the set and is the perfect size for the sentiment.   I traced around the outside of the die and fussy cut to add a mat.

Love challenge at Sweet Stampin' Challenge.

Hi there.  It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' Challenge blog and being February, our theme is LOVE.

I'm using a technique I have done before - reverse layering.  Gina K did this technique in a FB Live back in January.

I used some pretty patterned paper for my top layer - cutting the larger heart (Spellbinders).  The smaller layer was cut with red card and the bottom layer - white embossed with Gina K Holiday Tapestry folder.   I added a little hedgie from Penny Black, coloured with Spectrum Noir Tri-blends and Aldi alcohol pens.   The sentiment is stamped and embossed in white EP, from an LDRS sentiment set.

I'm entering this into the February Challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes with optional Hearts and/or Flowers.   Think my Hedgie card meets both of these.
