TIme to start thinking of Christmas... oh no - not yet!

Wow it's only 20 weeks till Christmas!  Have you started making your Christmas cards yet?  Well our latest challenge at Die Cut Divas is all about your favourite holiday - and of course Christmas is mine!  So I started with a couple of cards... The first one is here today and the other one will be later in the month.

Our sponsor this month is:

lecrystelle

They have awesome products including some precut and folded card bases, which the team got to try out.  As well as Spellbinders dies - which suit us right down to the ground!

So for my card I chose to use the 2 Fold Poinsettia step card and of course the Spellbinders Poinsettia die.

As you can sees I went with a neutral colour scheme.  I cut my Poinsettia out of kraft card and sponged with brown ink.  I used PP from DCWV in the same neutral colours and finished off the flowers with gems I found in my local $2 Shop.   The sentiment from Kaisercraft was embossed with Platinum powder.

Would love to have you join us at Die Cut Divas with your favourite holiday cards... can be any holiday ( Hanukkah, Valentines, Halloween) check out some of the fabulous cards from the rest of the team.

Teddy Presents

I must be feeling better.... I'm keen to get into the craft room and am able to sit for an hour or so at a time....  So blog surfing and made myself a list of challenges to consider....

Really enjoyed the Step card the other day, so decided to have a go at a Side Step card for Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

Teddy Presents

I started by cutting the card base.  Found a tutorial page (here)  giving the dimensions.  I then sponged the card with Hero Arts Pool Shadow ink and then overstamped it with the Envelope Pattern in the same ink.  Such a subtle colour.  I then stamped Teddy onto the base and again onto white card.  Coloured with Copics and cut out to pop onto the base.  For the presents I used Gift Boxes stamp by Penny Black.  I embossed them in black and then sponged different colours of distress ink and cut them out. to stick to the steps.

As I used 2 or more stamped images, I'm also entering this into Paper Play's challenge this week.

Thinking especially of my friends in USA today, your 10th anniversary of 9/11.  Watched an amazing doco last night ~ time seems to have flown by.

Take care and thanks for visiting
