June CCC for Sara

My June CCC went to Sara in Cincinnati.  We had a sketch to follow:
or a theme: Friendship, Patriotism or Water
or use buttons

I used two flowers die cut from burlap covered card and added a button to the centre.  The background stamping was a Stampin' Up stamped in yellow ink and smooshed.  Added the sentiment from my Stamp of Approval set by GinaK.  Finished with some glittery washi along the bottom.

Had a very enjoyable winter's weekend at Mangawhai with our friend.  It was a tad cold in the mornings with a bit of frost.

and got to have a little play with some of my new goodies
'Here what I did this afternoon. Used some Pixie Dust to make my backgrounds. Messed up the Peony though. One cat is from Tim Holtz, the others from Katzelkraft.'

Happy 4th of July to all my US friends and readers.   Hope you have a great long weekend.

Flowers in my Garden

It's the 1st so a new challenge over at Die Cut Divas.  We have a photo challenge for you

Our sponsor is A Day for Daisies

I chose to use Flowers in My Garden

Isn't she adorable.  I loved the results I got with this one.  I cut the Kasiercraft die with some pale green textured card.  I trimmed the focal panel to fit inside the die cut.  I used Copics to colour and distress inks for he background.  I pulled out some flowers and added the heart button to the middle with a little twine tie.   My background paper is from a Couture Creations pack.   As I've added a Flower to my card I am entering into the latest Challenge at "Crafting When We Can"
Also entering into the Simon Says Stamp Wed challenge (Anything Goes)

And here are some photos from my garden today.

A beautiful day for May 1st.  Hubby even managed to go for a swim (too cold for me) It did cloud up a bit in the late afternoon.

And to finish here's a little photo of Archer taken at a professional baby shot yesterday

Talk about being relaxed

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great day.

Thank You

This month at Die Cut Divas, Bugaboo was our sponsor and for our last day, we the Diva's have some final cards... I did a Thank You card.

Thank You Bugaboo

I printed the Flower Shelf onto kraft card and used some cheap colouring pencils and used a Dove Blender pen.  I added some tiny buttons from Docraft for the flower centres.  The little Thank You is a Stampin' Up! one.  It fitted beautifully along the edge of the shelf.   I die cut with a Lil' Inkers die.  I then trimmed my base card down to make a littler card.

I've had a fun month with Bugaboo.  Be sure to visit us at Die Cut Divas for next month's challenge.

Second card made today... I'm on a roll..... This one I used design block Outline flowers, stamped in versamark and embossed in white powder, I layered the darker craft card on the bottom and put a ribbon across the middle. I stamped the outline flower again this time onto pale purple card and cut out. I over stamped with old French writing, put on a button the added to card, Other two flowers and buttons added. It was inspired by this technique on Hero Arts website so have entered into the challenge for this week. I haven't put any sentiment on, but when I decided what I will emboss it in white.
TFL and have a great day
