For Someone Special...

My post for Watercooler Wednesday is HERE
*******************************************************************

Over at Southern Girls, Team Trace are up with a "For Someone Special" Challenge.  I used a  image from A Day for Daisies called "Flowers in my Garden

I printed out the image and coloured with some alcohol markers.  I trimmed it into a square and layered onto some pink card.  I took my white card base and a stencil and some pink ink and using a brush from Picket Fence to blend over the stencil.   I stamped the sentiment and then added the focal panel with some dimensional tape.

Sending Wishes.... Southern Girls Challenge - Inks or Sprays

It's time for a new challenge at Southern Girls Challenge Blog today.  This time the theme is Inks or Sprays.
Our lovely sponsors are

I got to use a digi stamp from A Day for Daisies called "Breeze in Spring"   for my card

I printed out the image and then made a mask for the image and spritzed it with some Perfect Pearls spray and a white spray.  I then used Distress inks to paint the image.   Once it had all dried I die cut the panel with a scalloped die from Catherine Pooler Designs and added to some Patterned Paper that I had used a Lil'Inkers die to cut the stitching.  The Wishes die is from Catherine Pooler Designs as well.  I cut it with some dark green card.

Do come and join us at Southern Girls with your inks or sprays projects.

This one didn't photo well..  The colour is not as pinky and more yellow than it looks.  I need to take a course in photo editing.   Coloured this image with Touchnew markers (alcohol markers)   I used some blue chalk in to colour the background.

Girl and Blue Birds

Today is my turn to share my card at Die Cut Divas.  Our sponsor is A Day for Daises and I used this image for my card today.  Our theme this month is inspired by a photo from our very own team member Carol... of buttons

I used Copic markers to colour my image.  I tried the using some pointillism around the image to highlight  the image.  I added a little red button to the back of her dress.  I trimmed the image with a MFT rounded rectangle.  The lacy piece is a die cut from Couture Creations.  It is extremely intricate and did take a few times to get a good cut.

We would love to have you join us at Die Cut Divas with however the photo inspires you... maybe the buttons, may be the colours... just as long as you let us know what inspired you.

Flowers in my Garden

It's the 1st so a new challenge over at Die Cut Divas.  We have a photo challenge for you

Our sponsor is A Day for Daisies

I chose to use Flowers in My Garden

Isn't she adorable.  I loved the results I got with this one.  I cut the Kasiercraft die with some pale green textured card.  I trimmed the focal panel to fit inside the die cut.  I used Copics to colour and distress inks for he background.  I pulled out some flowers and added the heart button to the middle with a little twine tie.   My background paper is from a Couture Creations pack.   As I've added a Flower to my card I am entering into the latest Challenge at "Crafting When We Can"
Also entering into the Simon Says Stamp Wed challenge (Anything Goes)

And here are some photos from my garden today.

A beautiful day for May 1st.  Hubby even managed to go for a swim (too cold for me) It did cloud up a bit in the late afternoon.

And to finish here's a little photo of Archer taken at a professional baby shot yesterday

Talk about being relaxed

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great day.

A touch of Vintage

Today over at Die Cut Divas, we are all working with with a lovely image from A Day for Daisies.   And you can have it too as it's a freebie which you can get here.

Here is my version of the stamp

I printed the image and coloured with Copics.  I used an embossing folder to emboss the edge and then rubbed some white Gelato to highlight the embossing.  I then added some paper flowers with gem centres and some die cut leaves.

Hop over the the blog to see what the other Divas came up with.

Happiness is where we find it...

but rarely where we seek it.  I really love this sentiment.  And it's a stamp from Couture Creations.

Today I have a card to share that I made for Die Cut Divas.   I used a digi stamp from our sponsor ~ A Day for Daises.

I combined it with my Couture Creations stamp.  Colouring was done with Copics and as our challenge is this month is to use at least one embellishment, I added some gems.  My base card is embossed.

Do come and join us at Die Cut Divas.  Still plenty of time.
