WWC 318 - Kath's Challenge: All About Occasions

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  Kath is our hostess this week with an All About Occasions challenge.

Today I have a little birthday card to share with you.  This cutie was the one that made it's way to Australia for my Grandson Archie's birthday back at the end of April.

Although I did not know it, one of Archie's birthday cake was themed... Train your Dragon.  So he was over the moon to get a card from his Nanny that had a dragon on it.  I stamped this sweet dragon from My Favourite Things onto some textured dark kraft card and used metallic paints to colour it.  I used a Penny Black speech bubble die to add his age.  The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz set.

Come and join in the fun at  Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and check out the project from the other designers.  Then take our challenge and link up your project to the challenge post.    We'd love to have you join us.  You have until Monday 28th at 5 pm Mountain Standard Time (Tuesday at 12.00 noon NZ time ) to link up your project.

Sci-Fi Challenge @ Red Carpet Studio

It's the third Sunday of the month, so it's a card challenge over at Red Carpet Studio.  This challenge is a Sci-fi one....

I decided to go with a dragon card... so went on the prowl round the 'net to find an image of a dragon.  And I found a really awesome one over at Tiddly Inks.

I printed the dragon and girl on to white card and then used Spellbinders circle to cut it out, using the technique of cutting outside circle.    I coloured the image with Distress inks. All the PP's for the background are from Die Cuts with a View ~Once Upon a Time Mat Stack.   The sentiment is by Kaisercraft.

Pop over to the blog and see what delights my teamies have come up with... and join us with your Sci-Fi cards.

Had an AWESOME day at the Stampin' Up  workshop....  3 cards and  3 other projects.   A full on day but great fun.  I even ordered a punch to match the free stamp we got in our goodie bags.

Have a great week... I've got 3 nights on my own as hubby is off to Singapore for a two day meeting.  Leaves at lunch time tomorrow and is back lunch time on Thursday.
