Two for one on the edge stamping

I recently saw Jennifer McGuire doing an on the edge stamping trick and getting two cards for one lot of stamping.  (you can see it HERE)    I decided to try it out today using a Concord & 9th stamp.  It was really easy to do with the assistance of MISTI.  I decided to colour it in two different colour scheme.

For the first one, I used bright Copic colours.  The sentiment is from the same Concord & 9th stamp set as the flowers.   I added some Liquid Pearls to the splatters.

On my second card I used more muted colours - choosing my lightest Copics.  I added a few more splatters with a Gold Wink of Stella.   The die cut and sentiment are from a Catherine Pooler set.

I enjoyed doing the same design in different colour schemes.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Little Panda for you

This month at my NZ Cardmakers swap our theme is "Animal" - however that takes your fancy.  I chose to send Carol a little whimsical Panda on my card

I used an idea I saw in the magazine I got the stamp and embossing folder from.  I made a blue die cut frame and used some embossed vellum.  I stamped all the elements and and fussy cut them.  They are coloured with watercolour pencils and Wink of Stella.

Packing almost complete and just one more day at work and then we are away!  Getting excited.

thanks for stopping by today.

Off The Edge.... CAS-ual Fridays challenge

CAS-ual Fridays is having a Design Team Call and part of it is to ensure you enter a card into the latest challenge... Off the Edge.

I don't have a lot of CAS-ual Friday stamps and dies... but luckily you can use whatever you have in your stash.   My card uses an Altenew flower and Spellbinders Nestibility die and a sentiment from a CAS-ual Fridays set I do have!

My card is a mixture of CAS and layers.... I used some PP from Craftworks, sponged with some Delicata Golden Glitz ink for my background panel.  I stamped the flower from Altenew's Botanical Garden set and then used a Spellbinders Nestibilities die, did some partial die cutting.   I coloured the flower with some Zig Markers and a Wink of Stella clear marker.    The sentiment is from Casual Elegance.

Also entered into the Anything Goes at The Flower Challenge.

So off  to choose some more cards  to showcase my style -

Thanks for stopping by... hope your weekend is going to be crafty... I'm going to try an fit in some card making.

A weekend of stamping...

This weekend I've had a great crafty time.  I got to spend time with my friends for the first time is a while.  We meet at Helen's place and had an awesome day.

I had a very productive day... I made matching cards in a box for my twin great nephews who turn 8 later in the month.   I'll share them once the boys get cards.  And I made a good start on some Christmas cards.

Merry Be Your Christmas

I have decided to try and use up some of my VAST number of Christmas PP pads.  I also used a new Nellie Snellen die I got from the Great NZ Craft Fair I went to on Friday. (As well as some new Embossing folders, a new stamp, a Wink of Stella pen and some stickers) I really like this die as the inner oval is part of the set of dies.  So you know the inner will fit.  The sentiment on this is a Kaisercraft one.

Poinsettia Christmas

Next up is another PP and a Poinsettia stamp (the one I got on Friday) by Kiwi Stamping - a NZ company)  I stamped and embossed it three times, twice on red and once on green and fussy cut.  The sentiment is embossed twice on the red card.  It is a Kaisercraft sentiment.

Seasons Greetings

More use of PP and my new die set.  Very CAS.  The sentiment from Winnie & Walter and has been embossed.

And finally an embossed card.

Embossed Holly

I added some Wink of Stella to the raised areas and some red watercolouring for the berries.  '

Thank you for taking the time to get this far.  I really appreciate it.

I also had a chance to make some more cards today.  I got another 5 cards done... all in my usual CAS style.  The mojo is simply flowing at the moment.

Hope you are all having a great weekend.
