Easter Wishes

I'm really enjoying doing some cute girly card and today's is in the same ilk.... I recently won some goodies over at Donna's blog and they arrived yesterday.... so you can imagine my joy when I saw what she sent me....an adorable Penny Black girly cling... a lovely set of sentiment stamps and a lovely paper pack by My Mind's Eye.  I needed an Easter card and this little lady suited my purpose perfectly.

Easter Wishes.

I coloured her in with distress inks.  Love the look this gives.  I added some of the MME papers for the background.  Finished it with a few pearls, some ribbon and a punched edge.   I used the computer to make the sentiment.   Inside I stamped another Penny Black stamp

I am entering this into Penny Black Saturday Challenge   and Simon Says Stamp ~ anything goes

Got most of the packing done... but still have to schedule a few posts.  And still have to look at today's On-line Chemistry class with Tim...busy busy busy.

Hope you are all enjoying your crafting this week..

Monday Feature at MyGrafico ~ Sweet Easter

This week's feature over at Mygrafico uses this adorable clipart set

I decided to do a little gift bag for some mini Easter eggs.  I took one of the cupcakes and resized it.   I flipped the image and cut them both out, to make the back and front of my bag

Rosie's Bike Ride

~ another Wee Stamps digi image I bought last week.  It's just as adorable as the first one (here)

Rosie's Bike Ride

I used distress inks to colour this one after I had die cut the image and sponged the background while still in the die.  I added some Purple Stickles in little dots on the flowers.    I punched some flowers and added some Kaisercraft paper flowers, adding green and blue gems in the centres.  I added some green punched leaves.   I used a tiny sentiment from Hastings Rubber Stamps on an oval, edged with Stickles.

This card is heading off to Australia for one of my niece's birthday next month.

Today's On-line class with Tim was all about Distress Markers.... boy do I want them NOW.... but I'll just have to watch his video's and dream!

Pop back a bit later and I have my this weeks feature from Mygrafico.

Letterpress Technique

I've tried this technique before without too much success till I saw some people using Hero Arts Soft Pool ink and it seemed to always work.   So I tried it and was sooo pleased with the results.

Birdie Thanks

I had been using the embossing folder to make a technique tag for my on-line class with Tim Holtz.   So I thought I'd just have a play with it and try the letterpress technique. The Soft Pool ink works so well.   I then coloured the raised embossing with a Sakura Stardust pen.  It really is glittery.

Close up

I finished off the card by adding a Hero Arts sentiment from the Made with Love set and matting the panel with black card top and bottom.  I am entering this into CAS-ual Friday's Pastel and Black challenge.

Been busy today getting ahead with my Mygrafico challenges for the next few weeks... I'll be scheduling the posts while I'm away.  And look out for something special around the 1st of April....

Take care and have a great week

Hope your day is the sweetest ever.....

what a super cute sentiment.  It's a stamp from Montagra ~ a New Zealand stamp company.  My Dad bought this last year when he was out here, and I stamped it off a few times for future use... and today I did use it.

Sweetest Day Ever

This card came about when I saw the Wee Stamps images in a magazine.  They are digital stamps but are also available in rubber from Whimsy Stamps.  I think they are so cute and the digi's at around $4NZ are quite reasonable.  I resized the digi to around 90% and printed out.  I used Spellbinders circles and scallop circles to cut and mat the image.  I found some sweet paper in my stash and trimmed to fit the pink card base. I used a Martha Stewart deep punch to make some lace.  I cut a flourish from the same colour paper as the mat.  As I wanted to enter this into Lily Pad's latest challenge~  Flowers, I made some hand rolled felt flowers.  I used two sizes Die-namics rolled roses and pink and white felt.  Added some green leaves, the sentiment, and lots and lots of bling.

Also entering into Cardmadfairy's Digi Days challenge ~ Use a sentiment
Moxie Fab World ~ DIY embellishments

I've found a great site if you want to find a challenge.... it's called Feline Playful and every day has a list of challenges.

Had some issues this week with a leaky Hot Water cylinder and ended up with cold washes two mornings in a row, till we got it fixed, but now have a wet floor in the cupboard and it's leaked into the understair cupboard.  Have had to have the fan heater on to try and dry things out.  Hoping that no permanent damage to the floor.

My Simon Says order arrived today.... very exciting as I forgot I'd ordered one stamp set..

So more flowers to colour in.  Hope to have a play tonight.... and I got the April Kit ~ lots of lovely goodies to play with.  But heading off next Friday for 2 weeks overseas and NO CRAFTING!  how will I cope!!!!!!!!

Enjoy your weekend

Stamps and Dies

I was in one of my LSS today and there was a display of stamps and die sets.... there are just so many now... I bought one last Friday ~

and I've got this one in my latest Simon Say Stamp order ( due any day now)

I made a card over the weekend with the one I bought on Friday... My card was for a couple of challenges
*Simon Says Stamps challenge ~ a bit of green
* CAS-ual Fridays  challenge ~ 123

Playing with New stamp/die set

CAS-ual Friday challenge was  1) Pattern 2) an image  and 3) Sentiment.

I used soft Pool to stamp the sprig onto the green card for my background pattern.  I used markers to colour the sprig for my image and stamped the HA sentiment in Cup'o'Joe ink.    Also entered into the Hero Arts March challenge.... fabulous flowers.

Have you joined Tim Holtz's On-line class?  I have, but am way behind in doing my technique tags.  My manilla tags are way littler than his, so don't look as impressive.... and I don't have a lot of the products and are making do.  Day 2 tags done as distress ink IS something I have.... lots of them.  I think I am only about 3 short of the original 36 colours, and have the two lots of seasonal colours.  I LOVE them.... particularly for using as a colouring medium.

Well the weekend has started for me.... I'm off to do supermarket shopping for Emma... some of the comforts of home to take with us for her, like Cookie Bear chocolate chippie cookies... ( made by Griffins)

Have a great weekend all...
