29 Again?

I had fun making a card for one of my work colleagues.  Her birthday was Sunday and I gave her this one on Friday.

I got an order in from Simon Says stamp during the week and it included a couple of Art Impressions stamps.  This one made me laugh.  Val was only turning 34 but I though the sentiment (from StampNation's Young at Heart collection) went perfectly with these ladies.  I coloured with Copic makers.  Val really loved it and appreciated the thought.

and Virginia's View Friendship Linky Party

I also got asked to make a card for a three old.

As I had to make it quickly, I used some pre-printed Wee Stamps decoupage sheets.  There are three layers on this one.  I found a three on a Bugaboo image and printed and cut out.   Finished with a Happy Birthday stamp.

I'm sitting on tenterhooks at the moment.   Our daughter is due to give birth any day now.  We are just waiting with our phones fully charged waiting for the call to say our grandchild has been born.  They have not found out the gender so it will be an exciting time when it happens.  I hate that we are so far away (she lives in Perth Australia - a 7 hour flight to get there) but we are booked to go over on the 14th of May to see the baby.  Can't wait!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Fairy Rowan

I recently purchased a new Wee Stamps digital stamp called "Fairy Rowan"  It is very sweet and I decided to use it with a Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch

Fairy Rowan

After printing I coloured with Copics and added some Sukura glitter pen on the wings.  I cut with Spellbinders circle dies.  The PP is from a Grant Archival pack by Grace Taylor.  It's called Vintage.  I picked up a 100 piece 12x12 pack for $10.  As I can get up to 4 from each sheet if I'm making a card, this is very economic.  But I have to say photographing the pink and red together was a bit difficult.  My sentiment is from a Hero Arts Sparkle clear set.  I just love these little sets. Lots of great little sentiments.  The banner behind my sentiment is a Spellbinders die and the oval, a Stampin' Up! punch.

I am entering this card into the following  challenges
Try Stampin' on Tuesdays  following the sketch
the Anything Goes (with a fairy or butterfly) at Flutterby Wednesday
Fairy Nice at Cute Card Thursday
Creative Craft Cottage ~ round like a record.  Use a circle

Thanks for visiting today.  I'm looking forward to a nice quiet weekend... maybe even spend some time in the craft room.  I've printed out Fairy Rowan in a slightly larger version and also another cute Wee Stamp I also purchased.

Rosie's Bike Ride

~ another Wee Stamps digi image I bought last week.  It's just as adorable as the first one (here)

Rosie's Bike Ride

I used distress inks to colour this one after I had die cut the image and sponged the background while still in the die.  I added some Purple Stickles in little dots on the flowers.    I punched some flowers and added some Kaisercraft paper flowers, adding green and blue gems in the centres.  I added some green punched leaves.   I used a tiny sentiment from Hastings Rubber Stamps on an oval, edged with Stickles.

This card is heading off to Australia for one of my niece's birthday next month.

Today's On-line class with Tim was all about Distress Markers.... boy do I want them NOW.... but I'll just have to watch his video's and dream!

Pop back a bit later and I have my this weeks feature from Mygrafico.

Hope your day is the sweetest ever.....

what a super cute sentiment.  It's a stamp from Montagra ~ a New Zealand stamp company.  My Dad bought this last year when he was out here, and I stamped it off a few times for future use... and today I did use it.

Sweetest Day Ever

This card came about when I saw the Wee Stamps images in a magazine.  They are digital stamps but are also available in rubber from Whimsy Stamps.  I think they are so cute and the digi's at around $4NZ are quite reasonable.  I resized the digi to around 90% and printed out.  I used Spellbinders circles and scallop circles to cut and mat the image.  I found some sweet paper in my stash and trimmed to fit the pink card base. I used a Martha Stewart deep punch to make some lace.  I cut a flourish from the same colour paper as the mat.  As I wanted to enter this into Lily Pad's latest challenge~  Flowers, I made some hand rolled felt flowers.  I used two sizes Die-namics rolled roses and pink and white felt.  Added some green leaves, the sentiment, and lots and lots of bling.

Also entering into Cardmadfairy's Digi Days challenge ~ Use a sentiment
Moxie Fab World ~ DIY embellishments

I've found a great site if you want to find a challenge.... it's called Feline Playful and every day has a list of challenges.

Had some issues this week with a leaky Hot Water cylinder and ended up with cold washes two mornings in a row, till we got it fixed, but now have a wet floor in the cupboard and it's leaked into the understair cupboard.  Have had to have the fan heater on to try and dry things out.  Hoping that no permanent damage to the floor.

My Simon Says order arrived today.... very exciting as I forgot I'd ordered one stamp set..

So more flowers to colour in.  Hope to have a play tonight.... and I got the April Kit ~ lots of lovely goodies to play with.  But heading off next Friday for 2 weeks overseas and NO CRAFTING!  how will I cope!!!!!!!!

Enjoy your weekend
