Craft Roulette #191

Managed a card this afternoon/evening  after getting back from up north and visiting our little princesses.

Parameters were a bit challenging this week.

Project: Drop down
Colours: Supper Table
Element: Season
Random: Shiny

I made an Easel card for my Drop Down element - it drops down to post. My colours were inspired by a placemat I used at my table. Season is Summer - with my summer succulents. And my shiny element - silver mirror card leaves, silver embossing on the succulents and silver gems.

I used some Anko patterned paper (from KMart). I stamped the Hero Arts Succulent Bouquet with Versamark and embossed with silver powder from Ranger. I used some teals and greens from Altenew's 36 pan watercolour to add my colours. Once it was die cut, I added it with some 3D tape and some silver die cut leaves from Pinkfresh Studio. Finished with some silver gems.

We had a great time up north, very relaxing for me and hubby did lots of chain sawing and cutting up some dead trees. And got to stop in and see our little girls. Grace was full of life after waking from a nap... not a usual thing for her now at 4 1/2 but had been extra busy helping her Dad around the house and garden. Florence was full of similes and as wiggly as a worm - trying move around and clamber up us while we were holding her. She is nearly 5 months now and growing so quickly.

Hope you all are having a great weekend and get to do something you love.

Fun folds at Die Cut Divas

Hi there.  Thanks for visiting today.   I'm here to share with you my card for Die Cut Divas.   This month our sponsor is the wonderful Hero Arts

And our theme for the month is Fun Folds.

I have a lot of older Hero Arts stamps and dies but recently saw some new Hero Arts goodies in stock at my local online store so couldn't resist buying a couple of  Stamp'N'Cut set.    Today I decided to go with an Easel card.

Here is the front of the card.  I have used an Altenew 3D embossing folder and some die cut ovals from a Gina K set.  The poppy is from  Florals Poppy Combo.  I stamped it directly to my die cut oval.  I used some of the Altenew Woodless Watercolour pencils to colour it up.

And here it is open.  I used Altenew Apothecary Labels die cuts to make my easel stopper.  The sentiment is from the HA Poppy stamp set.

Do come and join us for our challenge.

Pink and Girlie.....

that's the request I had from Yvonne for a card for another friend's birthday...... Tracey LOVES pink.  I decided to add a bit of black as well...... and try an easel card....

Birthday Easel card (open)

The front uses a Spellbinders Die ~ Parisian Accents ~ It's a 8" long die and I used my long plates to cut it.  The birdcage and bird are a Tim Holtz die.  I added the rose and the organza bow to give it a girlie look.   I added some pink gems to the bottom of the cage and on the card.   For the inside, I used another row of the Parisian accents and made my stopper with a Hero Arts label stamp which I cut out and added with dimensional dots.   I think this certainly covers the request adequately....

Now for a surgery update... got a call today.... I've been bumped up the list... now Thurs 1st Sept.  So only a week and a bit wait now.... Pleased about that.

Thanks for visiting....
