Colour Palette Option

Sketch Option

(Orient as desired.)

Theme Options: Birds / Wheels / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Something a friend sent you / Stitches

I wanted to try a something I had seen on  You Tube (by Jackie Williams - a NZ Stampin! Up demonstrator. - so chose the Friendship theme,

I made this one a square card using some Gina K Master Layouts dies to cut my inner panel and matting layer,  I found some gorgeous patterned paper to put behind my torn portion.  Added some gold ribbon to finish it off and some soft pink gems.  Added the little sentiment from an Altenew set.

My card from Helen hasn't arrived as yet... so something nice to look forward to in the coming days.

I'm working from home this week due to chesty cough.  Means I have time to get some play in after work instead of spending time in the car travelling home.  So I've got a few cards to photograph and blog about.

PS - and there is still time to join the CCC for August - here

July CCC reveal

It the time for the reveal over at Card Chain Challenge.  It such a fun challenge.
I got to send a card to Dee.  Dee lives in Kenya, but was in England visiting her sister, so I sent my card off to her there.

I used my new Tim Holtz Mixed Media die and backed it with some purple card.  I used some dusty pink glitter card to die cut a butterfly.  Added some yellow/gold spray splatters.   My sentiment is from Kaisercraft.

There were so many beautiful cards that were shared this month.  Do go have a look and join us for the August challenge.

July CCC reveal.

Hi there... over at Deborah's CCC post she has reveal all the cards that were made and sent for her monthly Card Chain Challenge.  I had the pleasure of sending my card to Cat in Maryland USA.  I chose to use embossing paste on my card and the theme of Friends

July CCC

I started by using a stencil and some embossing paste to make my background.  I then used distress inks to colour the background and wiped the paste while the ink was still wet to keep it white.  The sentiment is from a Kaisercraft set and stamped onto the white Spellbinders die cut.  Finished with a die cut butterfly.  I also sent Cat the little Kaisercraft set that I used to stamp the sentiment.  I had picked up a number of the word sets from Kaisercraft and got a second set of the Friends one.  Just love finding reasonably priced sentiments.   Always good for RAK for someone.

And I got an awesome card from Gail in Norway
