A Mountain Scene card for Die Cut Divas.

Last day of the month so I'm here to share my card for Die Cut Divas.

Our sponsor for November is Kat Scrappiness and the Divas thought Slimline and Mini Slimline cards were perfect to make your holiday cards, no matter the content.

Kat Scrappiness is offering a prize of a Kat Scrappiness Gift Pack valued at least $25.

The standard size of a slimline card is typically 3.5" X 8.5" (8.89 X 21.59 cm).  The card base for a mini slimline card is typically 3" X 6".   These are approximate sizes and we won't be checking to see if your card meets the exact standard for either size.

I enjoy making mini slimline cards.  Today I've made a mini slimline card.   Arlene had sent me some Kat Scrappiness dies and included were the slimline Mountain Scape Dies.  I modified them to fit my mini slimline.

A few sentiments and I have a bon voyage card.

Come and join us with your Slimline projects.  Can't wait to see what you create.

WWC 310 - Marsha's Challenge: All About Occasions

Hi.  Time for another challenge at Watercooler Wednesday.  Marsha's our hostess with an All About Occasions challenge.

We are changing things up a bit at Watercooler Wednesday - we are moving to a fortnightly challenge so this weeks challenge is the first of our two week challenges.

Today's card is one I made to sent to my daughter - she needed a bit of cheering up and as I can't go and see her (thanks to COVID) I thought a card will have to do the trick.

I've recently got a few slimline dies - but this fabulous trellis background was sent to me by my friend, Arlene. (It's by Kat Scrappiness and is available HERE)  I ink blended the background with some Altenew Parrot and Olive inks and added some brown splatters using the Woodless Watercolour pencil - Oolong Tea.  The flowers are Altenew's Gift for You.  I stamped the flower twice with Obsidian ink and then I took some of the Woodless Watercolour pencils and scribbled them onto some acetate- spritzed with water before pouncing it onto the flowers and leaves.  I fussy cut the flowers and added to the trellis die cut.   I added some gems into the centres. Finished with a sentiment from Altenew's Best Sentiments stamped in Mocha ink.

Come and join in the fun at  Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and check out the project from the other designers.  Then take our challenge and link up your project to the challenge post.    We'd love to have you join us.  You have until Monday 8th March at 5 pm Mountain Standard Time (Tuesday at 12.00 noon NZ time ) to link up your project.

Happy Birthday over at Die Cut Divas

It's the last day of the month (and also 2020) and it's time to share a card for Die Cut Divas.

I have used Kat Scrappiness Stitched Diagonal Background die for my card. (thanks to Arlene for sending this to me)  I backed it with some papers from a Friends Forever paper pad and a fussy cut Forever Friends Teddy.  The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz set.

I hope that 2021 is a better year than 2020.  Take care and keep safe.

Merry Christmas Day

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas Day.  Here in NZ it's almost the end of the day when you get to read this... It's my day to share a card for Die Cut Divas.

My team mate Arlene sent me some Kat Scrappiness slim line dies and I used one to make this Christmas card for you all.

I added some washi tape to the die cut piece and added to my white card base.  I added a Christmas die cut (Paper Roses) and a sub sentiment from a Mama Elephant set that my friend, Dierdre from Ireland, sent to me.  I added a Penny Black Poinsettia stamped and embossed in gold onto red card and fussy cut.

Entering this into the If it's  Christmassy - Link it Challenge at Christmas Kickstart

Hope you all have a great Christmas Day.

Here is a quick montage of my day

Use a die as a stencil... Die Cut Divas

Hi all

It's the last day of the month so the current challenge at Die Cut Divas is finishing today.

Kat Scrappiness is our sponsor this month at Die Cut Divas.
(new stamps, dies, stencils, embossing powders or folders, papers, digital images)

Today I am using a die cut as a stencil.... I was colouring up a white Mandala die cut to use of my earlier Die Cut Divas sample card HERE - so decided to use a sheet of white card behind the die cut and hey presto it was like using the die cut as a stencil.

I used a Couture Creations die "Anastasia"  To make it really pop I layered onto some black card and then onto the white square card base.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp "Tiny Words Encouragement" embossed in white onto some black card.  Finished with some dark magenta sequins.

Kat Scrapiness has a lot of wonderful dies as well as stamps = both their own brand as well as many other companies goodies.

Come and join us at Die Cut Divas.
