Altenew 31 Days of Crafting... Day 2

After yesterday's disasters at die cutting technique, this afternoon/evening I try out some partial die cutting.

I took a white card base and stamped one of the floral images from Craft Your Life - Hello Beautiful on to the front.   I then used the matching stencil set with Altenew's Fresh Die Inks - Mauve and Berrylicious and Crisp Die Inks - Misty Moon, Marshland, Buttercream and Warm Sunshine.  Stamped two of the sentiments from the set and finished with some gold paint splatters.  I then used the matching die to do a partial die cut.  I added some green striped paper from my stash to the inside panel.

Not sure I'll manage every day's prompts but will do the one's that take my fancy.

Hello - have a great day

I have a card today inspired by two amazing crafters  - Ardyth Percy-Robb and Jennifer McGuire

My background was one I made following Ardyth's presentation at the Stress Free Cardmaking Summit and I paired it with a partial die cutting technique I watch on Jennifer's blog.   I die cut the hello from the corner of the background panel where I knew the white panel would cover it.   I used the shadow die to do the partial die cutting technique.  Added a stamped sub sentiment and added some matching gems.

Celebrate Flowers

The latest challenge is up at The Flower Challenge...

I love using flowers on my cards and today I have a card inspired by Gina K and Jennifer McGuire and their partial die cut cards.

Here it is laying flat.  I used an Altenew stamp and die to make my focal image.  I did a partial die cutting of the flower.  The inside of the card was layered with purple card and I added the hot foiled sentiment (Pink Fresh Studio)

Here is it standing up to give an idea of how it looks.

Life in NZ is pottering along.... Omicron cases are increasing... today was the highest number of infections since March 2020 with just over 300 cases.. but hospitalisations are low - 12 with none in ICU.  At work we are working on strategies to ensure we can keep servicing our customers... we already have reduced the number who can be in the reception area to 3, with just one receptionist.  Hopefully we won't be hit too hard.
