Altenew - 31 Days of Crafting Another Day23 card

Another card for Day 23's prompt - Green.

I had made the vase thinking I could use it on my earlier card but didn't - it was stamped with Versatile Vases and with the matching stencil, I ink blended Enchanted Gold ink with a little bit of black ink.  Spritzed with some iridescent spray.  I fussy cut and cut a split in the top of the vase so I could but my leaves in.   The leaves are cut with dies from Boho Vases die set in various greens and added ink blended for some variety in colours.  The black and gold panel at the bottom was made with the new Deco Fan foil plate.  This was my first try and it overfoiled a bit but trimmed a bit off to add to the card. I forgot to stamp the sentiment before adding the vase to the card and it messed up when I tried to stamp directly so stamped onto some white card and die cut it and added with the Thank You stamped and die cut sentiment.

Altenew's 31 Days of Crafting - Days 20, 23 & 26

I've finally photographic the card I made for Day 20 - Color Run Red. I did this one on Monday afternoon but just didn't have the energy to set up my Shotbox to take a photo.  I finally got around to do so on Saturday.

For this one I used Build a Garden-Morning Asters stamped in Cloudy Night ink and then used the Dried Petals Fresh Dye inks with the matching stencil.  For a bit of texture, I took white card and embossed it with Hello Beautiful 3D embossing folder.   I used a sentiment from the Elegant Sayings stamp and die set.

Yesterday afternoon, I was also able to do a card for today's theme.

I die cut the layers from the Craft A Flower - Rose and ink blended each layer with Altenew inks - Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris and Midnight Violet.   I used some PP from Anko Marble pack to make the panel and to cut the leaves for my rose.   The sentiment is from Sending Hugs mini set - stamped with Andromeda ink and finished with some purple pearls.

This afternoon was feeling much better and as I had an idea I wanted to try for Day 23 - Color Run Green.

I used Monsteras & Quotes stamp, stencil and dies.  I stamped the three leaves, three times and then used three sets of green inks - Green Fields, Green Valley and Tropical Forest.  I mixed and matched all the light and dark inks.   I then die cut all the leaves.  The background was stamped with a Gina K Gauze stamp and added some green ink in the corners and some splatters of Charcoal Suit ink.

I have had fun trying out all the different prompts..   A few more days to go.

It's back to work for me tomorrow.  Not sure how I'll cope as I've been off for just over a week and still coughing and a bit sniffly.   I've find I'm still getting tired if I try and do too much.

Thanks for visiting today.  I appreciate all my visitors.

Altenew's 31 Days of Crafting - Day 19

I pulled out my Dainty Calla Lily Mini Delight stamp and the matching die.   I started by stamping the little stamp with Obsidian ink, 4 times onto some white card and clear embossed.  I coloured then flowers with Inktense Watercolour pencils. die cut them and then made two cards.

I stamped the Calla Lily three times onto my little panel in Altenew Silver Lake.  I took one of my coloured images and added it to the panel.  Added some gold washi along the bottom.  Stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set.   I then die cut a dark brown cardstock with the inner die from the Mix & Match Frame Dies.

For my second card I used the three other lilies.

I started by cutting a black panel with the middle die from the Mix & Match Frames die.  I splatter generously with metallic gold watercolour paint.  Added the two outside lilies directly to the panel and added the middle one with some 3D tape. The sentiment was stamped with Classic Greetings Stamp and die cut with the shadow layer.   I can't recall what ink I used, as it was in the packaging, but it went well with my middle flower.  Finished with some of the lightest dots in the Warm Grey enamel dots from Altenew.

Altenew's 31 days of crafting - Day 8

Well life has gotten in the way of crafting so haven't managed many of the 31 day prompts.  Was very lucky though to have my Day 1 card get chosen for week 1 winner.

So, I decided to try Day 8's prompt -

I have one of the earlier Simple Layering stencils - Flower Bunch

It's a bit harder to try and line up as there are no numbers on the stencils - difficult to decide what way up the stencils goes... but I managed on my second go to get it matched... only to mess up the flower centre in the lower flower...

I used Altenew Fresh Dye inks  - Aqualisious. Teal Cave, Galactic Stream, Jade, Eucalyptus, Forest Fern, Mauve and Berrylicious to do my ink blending.  This stencil has a matching die thank goodness... I was inspired by Therese Calvird, who showed how to stencil another flower - and in my case, die cut it out!  I popped it up with some 3D tape.  I added some black Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on the centre of the flowers.  I used the larger of the Altenew Mix and Match Frames to cut out a panel which I backed  with some navy card and added to a white base.   I used the Galactic Stream ink to stamp the sentiment
from Altenew's Classic Greetings.

Altenew 31 Days of Crafting... Day 2

After yesterday's disasters at die cutting technique, this afternoon/evening I try out some partial die cutting.

I took a white card base and stamped one of the floral images from Craft Your Life - Hello Beautiful on to the front.   I then used the matching stencil set with Altenew's Fresh Die Inks - Mauve and Berrylicious and Crisp Die Inks - Misty Moon, Marshland, Buttercream and Warm Sunshine.  Stamped two of the sentiments from the set and finished with some gold paint splatters.  I then used the matching die to do a partial die cut.  I added some green striped paper from my stash to the inside panel.

Not sure I'll manage every day's prompts but will do the one's that take my fancy.

Altenew 31 Days of Crafting... Day 1

I'm a bit late to the party, but today got some time to craft.   Every day there is a prompt to create a project.

I remember I had some music stamps as part of Altenew's Happy Birthday to You set.   I stamped it with some Silver Lake ink onto a square panel.   The sentiment is stamped with Charcoal Suit ink - inside I'll add an appropriate sentiment when it's time to use this card.   The floral image is from the Dreamy Daylilies set.  I die cut with some white card, embossed it and then added ink blending with the matching stencil set.  The centre panel is 5" square and the final card 5.5" square - so I could make the most of the beautiful floral die.

I did try out some ideas for Day 2 prompt but nothing worked out as I wanted, so back to the drawing board.

The weekend weather has been lovely and we had two days of being able to lunch outside on the deck - including a Roast Lamb meal today
