Hello Friend - Music to my Soul

 Another one of my cards from the weekend.   It's a Gina K inspired card using her Music to my Soul stamp set.  

I stamped the guitar and used my Scan'n'Cut to cut it out.  Used some Spectrum Noir Tri-blends.  I have the extended set which are more muted colours and were perfect on this card.  I used Gina K Master Layouts one for the panels.   On the white one, I stamped the music stamp from the set, in some soft grey ink and added a sentiment also from the set.    The little dot embellishments are more of my home made enamel dots. 

I stamped out two of the guitar so have another one waiting to be coloured and used. 

Altenew 31 Days of Crafting... Day 1

 I'm a bit late to the party, but today got some time to craft.   Every day there is a prompt to create a project. 

I remember I had some music stamps as part of Altenew's Happy Birthday to You set.   I stamped it with some Silver Lake ink onto a square panel.   The sentiment is stamped with Charcoal Suit ink - inside I'll add an appropriate sentiment when it's time to use this card.   The floral image is from the Dreamy Daylilies set.  I die cut with some white card, embossed it and then added ink blending with the matching stencil set.  The centre panel is 5" square and the final card 5.5" square - so I could make the most of the beautiful floral die. 

I did try out some ideas for Day 2 prompt but nothing worked out as I wanted, so back to the drawing board.  

The weekend weather has been lovely and we had two days of being able to lunch outside on the deck - including a Roast Lamb meal today 

Traditional Christmas

I've made a Christmas card for two challenges - Jo's Christmas Kickstart challenge theme is "The Christmas Story" and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge theme is "Traditional Christmas" 

Last year I pinned some vintage music sheets - mostly Christmas music.   I printed the "O Little Town of Bethlehem" sheet music to fit onto an A6 card base.  I edged with some Vintage Photo distress ink. The silhouette die is from Couture Creations.   I saved my sentiment for inside the card.

Anything Goes at Die Cut Divas

Hi there.  It's my turn to share a card at Die Cut Divas.

This month's challenge theme is "Anything Goes with an Optional Twist of Patriotic".

I have used CAS-ual Friday stamps and die to make my card.

I started by die cutting some watercolour paper with a Lil'Inkers die.  I then stamped and white embossed the music from CAS-ual Fridays set- Love Notes.  Next was to add some water colour 

paint.  I then added the  CAS-ual Friday Treble Clef die cut (thanks Arlene for sending me some of these) and added the little sentiment from the stamp set.

The Music is all around us!

all you have to is Listen.... isn't this a great sentiment.  I found it on the 'net and used it for a card I made for the recent 90 minute scramble on this card

While I was participating in the scramble I made a background but due to the fact I used Green ink and that was not in the brief....and as I was not happy with this card... I did some de-constructing and some re-constructing.

As you can see, I took the die cut sentiment piece off, removed the stars, took the background music off and replaced it with the background I made.  I added the sentiment die and then stamped the Penny Black birds onto watercolour paper and coloured with Inktense pencils.  I did the colouring while I was Skyping with Isha in Switzerland.  I am much happier with the card now.

We've off to dinner with friends tonight.  One of the local Indian restaurants is having a good special on so we are making  the most of it.
