Gifts at Christmas Kickstart

This month's challenge at Christmas Kickstart is "It's A Gift"

I has some play time on Sunday afternoon and got three cards made for Christmas

This one is a mini slimline card.  I used some PP from Uniti - Christmas pack.  I used  Pinkfresh Studio Mini Slimline Bundle to cut the PP and some pale green card.  The sentiment is from a Kaisercraft set - Christmas Quotes.  Added lots of Sparkle shimmer pen on the card, snow, tree etc.   Hard to see in the photo but lovely and shimmery IRL.

Next I used the same PP - up the top of the page.  I used a sketch from Jess Craft - from the Stress Free cardmaking Summit)  The floral and red dot papers are both from a Carta Bella pack - Letters to Santa.

For this one, I used a sticker from Journalsay.   I added it to some white card and fussy cut it before adding to a red card that was embossed with a Holly folder.  The sentiment was a free print out from Craft Al last Christmas.

My Christmas card stash is growing slowly and good to have three more added.

Hope you managed to get some crafting done over the weekend.

WW 276 Marsha's Challenge: Anything Goes with a Masculine Twist

Hi there - time for another challenge at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge. Marsha is our hostess with an Anything Goes with a Masculine Twist challenge.

Another card using the Faux Metal Paper technique that Jennifer McGuire did back in 2015.  This time I used Smoked Hickory Distress Ink and added Perfect Pearls in the white colour to give a silver look.  I used a WRMK 3D basket weave die to provide some texture.  I stamped the tool box from "For the Boys" which was free with a magazine and coloured with Copic markers.  I then fussy cut it out and added it on the panel.  The sentiment is a sticker I found a while back.  The little stars were from the sticker set too.

Come and join in the fun at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and  check out the project from the other designers.  Then take our challenge and link up your project  to the challenge post.  We'd love to have you join us.  You have until Monday at 5pm Mountain Standard Time (Tuesday at 11.00am NZ time) to link up your project.

WWC227 Michelle's "All About Occasions" challenge

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  Michelle is our hostess this week with an "All About Occasions"  challenge.

I had to make a Belated Birthday card as I completely forgot a friend's card.

My background was made by dry embossing the Broken Chevron stencil from Altenew.  I learnt about doing this when I took Laurel Beard's class at the Altenew Academy.   Laurel taught us to do the dry embossing and then keeping the stencil in place, blending inks over top.  It's hard to see the wonderful texture this gives.  I used Altenew inks - Baby Pink, Fuchsia, Limeade and Lime.   I then added some Lindy's Gang spray and some white iridescence spray.  The shimmer in real life is stunning.   I added a flower and bee sticker from Uniti.  The sentiment is from WPlus9.  I matted the panel into some dark pink card and onto a square card base.

Come join in the fun.  Check out the projects that the artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created then take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Mondays at 5 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (Tuesdays at 11.00am NZ time) to link up your project
