Valentine's Gift box

Today it's my turn to share over at Little Blue Button Stamps.  I used a digi image called Valentine Eris.  I made a little Pizza box gift box to fill with chocolates.

I used Valentine Eris (minus her buddy) to be my focal image on my box lid.  I made my box with some brown pearlescent card using a piece 16cm wide by 29cm tall.  You can find the instructions HERE  This is a great depth of box, perfect to hold chocolates or even a big cookie!

My heart is from Spellbinders, the little heart being from the centre of the big one.  The banner is a little date stamp type stamp I picked up in a local junk store for $4 (4 stamps with 12 sentiments each)  I finished it with some little punched flowers.

Lollipop Heart Charlie..

It's my turn to post a card over at Little Blue Button Stamps.... and I used Charlie Lollipop Heart

I printed Charlie out and coloured with Copics...  after I fussy cut her, I layered her onto my oval frame.  The centre oval is by Spellbinders and the outer doily oval is by MFT.  The background paper is from Kaisercraft's "Gypsy Sisters" pack.   I finished off adding three flowers I made the other week.

I have been having fun this weekend with my stencils and using my new Gelli Plate.  I enjoyed day 1 of the Stencilled class and have made a start on a card for day 2.  Didn't get quite as much done this afternoon as I hoped as we decided to go pick strawberries.... the local Hospice does a fundraiser in conjunction with the owner of the strawberry patch.  We picked over 4 kilos of strawberries.  I have frozen a whole lot to have in my smoothies and the rest we will eat over the next few days.  Totally yummy, there is nothing like fresh strawberries and cream.

Thanks for stopping by

With All My Heart

I'm here to share a digi from January's release at Little Blue Button Stamps....Rag Doll Sweetheart ~ Love Letter

Today I have paired her with some PP left over from some Christmas gift packages and a Simon Says Stamp Die cut.  This is s a super fun image to colour in (and she is also available as a rubber stamp HERE) I printed her onto some cream card and coloured with Copic markers.  I edged the panel with a Fiskars scallop punch and added a ribbon accent.  The die cuts were added after running through my Xyron 1.5" sticker maker.  Add a touch of Glossy Accents to the hearts.

I've been getting back into my crafting over the weekend and last couple of days.  It's feeling good to be getting my fingers inky.

A Little Shabby Chic.

By the time you read this, Christmas will be done and dusted for another year... Hope Santa was kind to you and you got to spend time with family.

It's mid summer in my part of the world and I'll be sunning myself at the beach.  We are heading off for 9 days holiday at a beach town around one and half hours north of my home.    Looking forward for the break away

So onto today's card. It's my day over at Little Blue Buttons Stamps.  This one is a little shabby chic.

The background is one that Olga designed and which I have recoloured in blues.  I stamped the Kaisercraft sentiment  and then added some blue ink all around and in places with a stencil or two.  The whole panel was then embossed with a folder.  I printed out the Vintage Dress form (Available here as a digital stamp or here as a rubber stamp) and used some Copics to colour.  The blue wasn't quite right, so I smeared some Gesso over it to tone it down.  Then I added Stickles to the wings and some Glossy Accents to the hat.  The finishing touch was some twine and a vintage button.

Enjoy the Holiday season.

Snow much Joy.... Christmas in November Day 6 at Little Blue Button Stamps

Today it's my turn to  host the blog in Little Blue Button Stamps' Christmas Event.

My card uses "Catching Snowflakes" an adorable Eris image.  I have printed her out and coloured with Copics.  I made the background with some distress inks and a stamp from Hero Arts.
My card base already had the lovely edging so it was an easy card to come together.  I added some Sukura gel pen to the snow at the bottom of the focal panel.

Also today we release this stamps set "Hooray Its Christmas!" which is available in rubber

And don't forget you can get this stamp for 50% off, just for today over at Little Blue Button Stamps with this code ~  dwn55  Attention: you must be logged in to use coupon! Otherwise it will not work! It's only for these two stamps and only for today so be quick.

Also in the end of this event will be two random winners picked up among those who will make order during this event - they will receive a small kit of Christmas digital stamps which weren't included in this event! So stay tuned!

Hope you take the time to visit our Event... full of inspiration.

Mixed Media Collage background.

Today I have a card to share for Little Blue Button Stamps.  I started with making a mixed media background and then used it to make the card.

The background is some water colour paper which I coloured with Derwent Water colour pencils.  I then used some stamps, stencils and inks to make the collage background.
I printed the new image called Sally.  I coloured her with Copics and fussy cut her out.  I haven't added a sentiment yet ~ I'll wait till I decide who I'm giving the card to...

Our new challenge starts soon... be on the lookout for some gorgeous projects from the team.

I'm sitting writing this while listening to the fireworks our neighbours are letting off.  Last night was Guy Fawkes night but due to very bad weather not many fireworks were let off.  You can only buy fireworks for 4 days from the 2nd Nov till 5th Nov. We didn't get any this year ~ now the kids are not here, it's not worth it.

Little Blue Button Stamps and a little Tutorial.

Today is my day to blog at Little Blue Button Stamps.  I've had such fun with the fabulous images from Olga and LBBS.  Did you know that  LBBS are available in rubber? (available from CC Designs HERE)

So first up is Sweetheart with Bag rubber stamp.

I stamped onto some white card and coloured with Copics and trimmed.  My PP background is from Hot of The Press.  I smeared it with Gesso to tone down the brightness and distressed the edges, with scissors.   I cut a Couture Creations rectangle doily and cut in half, added some blue ink and added to the PP.  The flower is from the PP pack by HOTP.  The green trim is from a swap I was recently part of.
For my next card, I used a background from LBBS which I imported into Word.  Here is a little tutorial on how I did it.

 and then recoloured
I then imported Jessica Wedding

I then removed the background of Jessica
and here's how it finally turned out
As you can see, I slightly adjusted the background colour and added a sentiment from Love Sentiments 2.  I coloured Jessica with Copic markers and added some silver stickles to her veil.  Once I trimmed and inked the edges I matted onto some silver mirror card.  A great way to combine three digital images to make a one layer card.

Thanks for visiting today.

Friends Forever

The latest challenge is up at Little Blue Button Stamps... Add Bling to your card...

I used LBBS's July freebie (here)  I printed it and coloured with Copics.  My Copics bled a little so I used a tip from my teamie, Amelia, by using Kindyglitz around the edge.  I fussy cut the friends and layered them on to an oval doily die by My Favorite Things.  My PP is from a My Minds Eye pack, edged at the top with a Fiskars punch and the bottom is a piece of die cut edging left over from another project that I distressed with Vintage photo ink.  The edge of the PP is also distressed with the ink.  The sentiment is from a Hero Arts sparkle clear set.  My bling is part of a $2shop bling flourish.  Plus I added some pearls to the girls ~ as a necklace and on the waist and head band.  The flowers are hand made by me with some Easycast resin.  Leaves are a die cut from a MFT die and edged with the distress ink.

We would love to have you join our challenge... there's a chance to win $10 worth of stamps from LBBS store.

A little bit of Steampunk

Steampunk (sub-genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery,) isn't something I have done a lot of.  But this month, Olga at Little Blue Button Stamps  has designed a very cute image called "Steampunk Jessica"

So of course, I had to make a Steampunk background for her.

I started by added some tinfoil to card stock.  I then put this through a Spellbinders M-bossabilties folder.  I then used a variety of mediums to colour it up.  Distress stains, Alcohol inks and finally some acrylic paint in black .  For my flower piece I cut a small doily die from Couture Creations, trimmed to fit. I added some netting and then some paper flowers.  Jessica was coloured and fussy cut and layered onto the background.  I haven't added a sentiment yet but will do so before I use the card.  I am happy with the results.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Wishing you a good week.

Picture Perfect

Today is my first post over at Little Blue Button blog.   I got to use one of the new release digi stamps today
This is Miss Lilly Reporter and here is my card

This is the sweetest little image and so easy to colour.  I used Copic markers and a touch of stickles.

I fussy cut Lilly and then made the base to layer her onto.  I chose to use some PP from My Mind's Eye- Miss Caroline all dolled up,  and trimmed it to include the flowers and doilies into the corner.  I love the wood grain look to this PP.   I used a sentiment from a Lawn Fawn stamp set and finished with a few tiny hearts.  These were the scraps from a die cut I did with a Simon Says Stamp die.

I hope this has given you some inspiration.  Do hop over to the shop and pick up your images and have fun.

It's Official...........and new challenge at Die Cut Divas

It's official.......I'm a new designer for Little Blue Button Stamps.

Olga, the owner, is on the same Design team as me, over at Red Carpet Studio and she approached me to do some designing for her blog and it was just timely that I had finished a design spot and had the capacity to take on some more DT work.   Thank you Olga.  I am looking forward to working with you and your adorable designs.    My first post over at Little Blue Button Stamps is going to be the 6th May and my sample for the two week challenge will be up on the 10th.

And today is Arlene's new challenge over at Die Cut Divas.

Anything BUT a Card!
 And a new sponsor....

Remember, you have to use a die-cut or something embossed from your machine.  You do NOT have to use a Bugaboo Digital in your creation.  However, if you use a Bugaboo Digital, you will awarded 3 chances to win.  If you do not use a Bugaboo Digital, you will be awarded  one chance to win.  You MUST also let us if you are using a Bugaboo stamp or you won't be awarded your 3 chances.   Do remember that Bugaboo has free digital stamps on Friday.

 So here is my Tag

I used this digi stamp (Rose Tag).  Once I had printed it out, I coloured with Inktense Pencils.  Once I had it coloured, I ran it through the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder.  I then sponged the embossed bits with some green ink, added a bit of twine and a ribbon.   Do come and join us at Die Cut Divas this month... there's lots of things you can do... ATCs, tags, banners, and other papercraft projects ( see Paula's amazing banner, Arlene's ATCs  and Hannah's calendar on the blog.)
