November CCC....

My recipient has received her card in this months challenge.

Our themes this month included using these colours
2016-11
or this sketch
or the following themes Landscapes / Christmas / Friendship or Products:  Felt / Fabric

Here is my card.

I chose the colours... my matting is the pinky one.    I used Coffee Break Altenew inks and Peony Bouquet stamps.   My sentiment is from Catherine Pooler Designs "Hello World"  Added some 3D liquid dots in the pinky colour.

I'm loving my Altenew layering flower stamps.  And this colour scheme is something a bit different.

Thanks for stopping by

Foundations Box has arrived...plus more Christmas cards

Yes I am happy to say I got my Catherine Pooler Foundations Box on Friday.  My friend Suna and I got them together (cuts down the postage costs for us) so on my way to Stamping Group on Saturday I dropped hers off.  Hope she is having as much fun with it as I am.  The inks are AMAZING and the stamp sets are full of variety.    I've done two cards so far

this one was the first I did... and  I messed up the bottom due to the ink being so juicy, I had to adapt to a LIGHT touch... so added the extra strip of green and also added a strip of card covered in the blue ink.   These inks are incredibly juicy and very intense colours.... I did 2nd generation stamping to get the lighter blue snow flakes.

and just look at the beautiful coverage with the red ink on the solid circle.  Once again I used the ink to make my layer.  Great way to tie in your layers to the inks on your card.

Yesterday was my day stamping with my group of friends.... there were 7 of us there.. (no photos as I was soooo busy making cards!)  I really enjoy catching up with all these lovely ladies and it had been quite a while since we last got together.    I had a very productive day - thanks to some pre- prep.  I had taken all 45 of my Christmas cards to work on Thursday and sold 30 of them.... and got 12 orders...4 of one, 7 of another and 1 of a third.

7 of the first one and 4 of the second one.   I did all the die cutting and the embossing on Thursday and Friday nights so Sat was just putting it all together.

And here's what I did as well.

I made a red one the same as the first one.  That will give the person a choice of colours. I'm entering this into the challenge at A Blog Named Hero.

So you can see I really did work hard on Saturday.   Hubby is away for the weekend so once I got home, I just kept going... the Happy Birthday above was done then.   A bit of a rest day today!

a big thanks if you made it this far.... so much I wanted to share.  Hope my American friends have enjoyed their Thanksgiving on Thursday and enjoyed catching up with their families.   Only 4 weeks now till Christmas.

Wishing you Peace Love and Joy

It's my day over at  A2Z Scrapbooking today.

Peace Dove

This Peace Stamp and Die set (DC187) is so versatile.  There are so many little sentiments that can go with the stamp or the matching Die.  For my card I have chosen to use the Die with the sentiments.  Thanks to MISTI I manage to do a pile of this design all at once.  Just did the stamping, and then added the die cut Peace and the trimmed red embossed panel.  The silver glitter card Dove die is one that came with a Christmas Themed magazine last year (and only got used this year!)  And because our theme this month is Embellish It... I added some little pearls along the curve of the embossed panel.

Enjoy the Ride.

My workmate Donna had her birthday yesterday.  She is a few years younger than me - in her mid 's so I made her a bit of a fun card.

I used an Art Impressions stamp and coloured with some Faber Castell pencils.  I used some PP from Kaisercraft to make my background.    Donna loved the card... saying the whole thing reminder her of herself...

It's been a busy time over the past week... lots of cards made, but mostly for commissions, DT work and for Christmas swaps.  Plus my room no longer has a hole in the ceiling.  It's been repaired and plastered.  The painter is coming later in the week and then it will be time to declutter a bit more and put the stuff back.  Hubby is determined that I need to get rid of at least half of my stash  (over my dead body!!!!!) so at present a bit of a stand off!

Anyway, hope everyone had a great weekend.   We spend most of Saturday over at Waiheke Island.  We went with Hubby's work to a vineyard where we did some fun activities... archery and a blind taste testing of two wines and two beers before having a lovely lunch.  Weather was a bit iffy... some showers and a bit cool, but a fun day had by all.

Thanks a bunch

Just a quick card today.  It's my turn to share over at Die Cut Divas where our challenge is "Thanks"

A very simple little card with some Copic colouring and die cutting of course.  Die and sentiment from Winnie & Walter.

And today Sunday 13th is my son's birthday.  I give thanks for such a beautiful person he has grown up to be.  28 this year...  where has the time gone.

Happy Birthday Kieran... we love you to pieces.

A productive Friday night....

Friday night, hubby out with the boys, what's a girl to do?

Why craft of course!

And that's just what I did.  I started by making 10 mini file boxes - tutorial here at Splitcoaststampers.

I used 6 x 6 PP from Rosie's Studio that was patterned kraft - it's nice and sturdy.  The embellishments are stickers from a the $2 shop.   I am going to fill the boxes with little bags of handmade chocolates.   I was surprised how quick these were to make once the first one was done... so stinkin' cute too.

I also spend some time checking out FB... and saw a replay of a Face Book live by Gina K where she used some inks and Tim Holtz stencils to make a quick card.  I just loved these and as I had the some of the same stencils she used... I just started playing and suddenly 4 more Christmas cards made!

These two used the same stencil - just did different colour schemes.   All my sentiments are from Kaisercraft.

And these two used a Holly stencil.  I used a stencil brush on the last one and sponging for the other one together with some splatters of orange ink.

Just love the Dr Seuss sentiment on my final card.  It comes from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"   And how true is that!

So a bit of a fun evening while alone at home.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by...

A Classy card at StampNation

I'm back again with my Guest Designer card for StampNation this week.  Our challenge is to make a Classy Card.   As I'm busy making Christmas cards, I've made not one but two Classy cards.

My GD card is this one

My inspiration for this one came from Pinterest.  I've used some metallic shimmery card to make this.  Ive used dies from Spellbinders, Cheery Lynn Designs and Couture Creations.  I used stamps from Catherine Pooler Designs SOA  Candy Cane Lane collection.  I used a Copic marker to colour some white pearls.  I added a bit of dimension on the card with some embossed lines.

And while I had my shimmery card and the dies out, I made another Classy card

with this one, I used a smaller Spellbinders die for focal point and stamped it with the sentiment - again from the SOA collection.  It's hard to see but I have embossed some little stars around the sentiment.    I used the same embossed lines and the Spellbinders Poinsettia die and the Couture Creations Holly Flourish

Digital rainbows with Hero Arts

It is my day to share over at A2Z Scrapabooking.  Our challenge this month is all about EMBELLISHING your project.

Did you know that A2Z Scrapbooking sells the Hero Arts digital stamps and cut files  (see HERE)  We certainly do!

Wishing you rainbows

I used Hero Arts Weather Cut Digital file.  Although this is a cut file, I do not have an electronic cutting machine, so I just used the PNG file and added to a Word Document.  I printed the umbrella  four times, each time changing the colour of the print.  I then printed it onto the main panel with the clouds and sentiment.  I fussy cut out the different colours and paper pieced them back onto the card.   I also printed one copy of the umbrella onto some masking paper and  used it to mask while I sponged the  rainbow background.   I added a flourish and some Hero Arts flowers and heart gems.  Some glossy accents for the rain on the clouds and some raindrops.   I used a sewing tool to do some wriggly lines around the panel before adding to my card base.

One great advantage with using our Digi kits is that you can make you image any size.   And using even a simple WORD programme it's fun to change the colours or even print out in a very light colour to do no line colouring on an image.

Did you also know you can now get free shipping (for USA only) for Orders $50.00 or More. Use Code FreeShipping16
And for every $50 spent on Hero Arts products we will send you a special gift! No special code needed.
Or use my code DAWN15 off your purchase of $25 or more. (before tax and shipping)  - note you can only use one code so chose what suits you best

StampNation Candy Cane Christmas

It's weekly challenge time over at StampNation and I'm a Guest Designer.  Our challenge was to make a sweet card using SOA Candy Cane Lane Peppermint Stick background and candies... or as an alternative instead of candy you can do any sweet treat: cookies, cakes, pie, cocoa etc. or even a sweet sentiment or sweet image.

I was lucky enough to get hold of the Candy Cane Lane collection and here is the card I made

I have used all SOA Candy Cane Lane Collections stamps.   The background is the Peppermint Stripe stamped in Altenew Coral Berry.  I used Ruby Red ink to stamp the candy canes.  I used the coordinating dies to cut them out as the holly and leaves.  The sentiment is stamped in the Coral Berry ink.  Finished with a satin ribbon.

If you aren't a member at StampNation, I can highly recommend it... There is so much inspiration from all the members.  See all about it here.

thanks for stopping by.

Our sponsors are

I made a Fall Thanks card.

This one didn't photo well..  The colour is not as pinky and more yellow than it looks.  I need to take a course in photo editing.   Coloured this image with Touchnew markers (alcohol markers)   I used some blue chalk in to colour the background.

We would love to have you join us at Die Cut Divas this month
