I chose to work with a little reindeer (available here)

After printing and colouring my little gal, I masked her and sponged the background.  I stamped some "stars" with a yellow ink and added the sentiment.

All that Glitters....

-- latest challenge is up for CCC Digi Creations and it's all about glitter.  Our lovely sponsor this fortnight is

I chose to work with a beautiful image of a Bride and Groom....

I chose to use soft colours for my colouring - a pale cream colour for her dress and light greys for his suit. It's hard to see in the photo, but there is HEAPS of Wink of Stella and Stickles on her veil, flowers and the punched vellum flowers.  The card also has a nice shimmery colour.  I simply added the "Mr & Mrs" from a Winnie & Walter set.

And today 16th is my Hubby's birthday.  I made him a very CAS almost one layer card.

You are the Best

Using a Stampember set from Simon Says Stamp and Tim Holtz.
Happy Birthday Peter.

Bingo time and Borders and Punches

The beginning of the month is a busy time for me... both Creative Craft Cottage and CCC Digi Creations start a new challenge.
Over at Creative Craft Cottage our theme is Colour/Bingo

I used the Bingo board...the top line..

My white background was cut with a Penny Black die which I then added to a cream white card base.  The flowers are from a Spellbinders die, cut from some Core'dinations card which was then sanded. Tiny buttons added for my flower centres.  Added these over a leaf die from Hero Arts.  Finished with a  white seam binding bow. My sentiment is from Hero Arts.  This card is also the one I sent to Cat in USA for my September CCC.

At CCC Digi Designs our theme is Borders/Punches.  Our sponsor is Oak Pond Creations

I chose to use a pretty bouquet of daisies.

I printed it onto some blue card and the used a Martha Stewart round the edge punch to make my frame.  Used some Glossy Accents on the flower centres.

I see I had a bit of a theme going here too...

Hope you take some time to visit the blogs and see what my team mates came up with.

For the Man in your life...

New challenge up at CCC Digi Creations tonight.  It all about the Man in your life... and our lovely sponsor this fortnight is Bugaboo

The design team all got to work with some of the Bugaboo fun images...so hop over and see what the other's did.  Here is my card

I used this cute guy snoozing in his armchair.  I used a really neat PP for my background.  My sentiments are from a set by Sullivans. It was a cheap set and is quite thin but they stamp quite well.  Added a few Peelcraft dots.

So come and join us over at CCC Digi Challenge with your masculine cards.

New challenges at Creative Craft Cottage and CCC Digi Creations

Both of our Creative Craft Cottage challenges are up today.
Over at CCC Digi Creations the theme this fortnight is Digi/Things with Wings

This fortnight's sponsor is

Kathryne is offering one lucky winner, their choice
of 5 digi stamps from her store.

I used this  butterfly and the sentiment is from this set.

Printed the butterfly and the sentiment onto watercolour paper and then used paints to colour.  Added a line of washi tape along the bottom.

And over at Creative Craft Cottage we have a sketch/colour board.

For this one I used different Patterned Papers for my layers.  The focal point is cut from some watercolour paper.  I masked the edges and stamped a WPlus9 rose and coloured with Copics.  I then used some water colour paint to do a wash of green.  Added some pink and green sequins and finished with a Hero Arts stamp.

I'm entering this into the Patterned Paper challenge at Virginia's View this month and this weeks challenge at Simon Says Stamp ~ Anything goes.
And Crafting when we can.... borrow a sketch

Monochromatic over at CCC Digi Creations

It's the middle of the month, so it time for another challenge over at CCC Digi Creations

Our sponsor this fortnight is Kathryne

http://www.whimsystamps.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=13_38

I chose to use one of her little owls for my card.  And used browns for monochromatic colour.

I used a wood embossing folder for my dark brown background, some kraft for my background scallop oval.  The branch is part of a Memory Box die.  The sentiment is a bonus when you purchase this owl.

Would love to have you play along with us at CCC Digi Creations with our monochromatic challenge.

New Challenge at CCC Digi Creations ~ Embossing

Hi there... A new challenge is underway at CCC Digi Creations... we want to see you cards with Embossing... wet or dry!  Our sponsor this month is none other than Bugaboo Digi Stamps

As you know I really enjoy working with Bugaboo Stamps.  They have such a variety.. from cute to humorous, and it's humorous that I worked with this month...

Michael turns 60.

My embossing is a Tim Holtz embossing folder.  I printed the image in Word and used a frame from there to surround it.  Once I cut it out, I used a die cut 60 as this card is for our friend who is turning 60 at the end of the month.  The sentiment inside says "You know you're old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that once you got from a roller coaster"

Do come over and join us this month.

Flowers everywhere.

Hi there... it's a new challenge at over at Creative Cottage Challenge Digi Creations.  And our theme is "Flowers"  This is your chance to use your digis and make a card.  Our sponsor this time is Aurora Wings.

We got to trial some of the beautiful digi stamps and today I'm sharing two cards I made.

First up is the image that Mitzi used for her logo

I am especially thrilled with the results of my colouring on this one.  I used Copics.  The layers are cut with a Lil Inker's die.  I am going to get this framed.

My second card is a little cutie, using Bluebell Sprite.

My flowers are the Bluebells on the image.  I used Spellbinders dies for the oval and the fancy label.  This sweetie got posted off to a little cutie who recently turned 4.  Happy Birthday Miss Lilly.
